How would you feel if Mancini went to Chelsea? | Now linked with United (p10) and Forest (p14)

It staggers me how casually that run is overlooked from within parts of our own support.

I’ll happily argue with anyone that it is one of the greatest ever achievements in the history of team sport. The historical statistics bear this out. Wining every one if the last 14 games, when the pressure was on in every game, when our opponents were breathing down our necks (or marginally ahead) is a truly incredible sporting feat.

What a thing to experience.
The weird balance of tension, belief and excitement is something I’m not sure we will ever experience again as the season climaxed. There was just no margin for error, and you also had to watch Liverpool’s game feeling kind of the same. What a team that was. What mentality. And what a manager holding the whole thing together, keeping that focus.

I get that plenty of City fans hated that period, until we beat Brighton, but for me, living on the edge like that, game to game, plus the FA Cup and CL thrown into the mix, was the absolute pinnacle of my time as a City fan.

I’ve loved so much before, and since, but that was a moment in time which supersedes everything else. Including 2012, 2018 and 2023.

It made me feel so alive.

Have to disagree. Yes; that run of wins, culminating in the game at the Amex was stunning. No argument from me on that score. But 2023 was the pinnacle. Winning the treble, a feat only accomplished once before by an English side. Those of us who suffered through the dark days of the late 80s through to the early 00s could never have dared dream that such a thing was possible.

Story is from Martin Blackburn at The Sun so it's not a terrible source. But I cannot see it happening.
But if he did.....he's dead to me.
The way it played out with us & United under his amazing reign he just shouldn't even consider it.
Aguero, the 6-1, mocking of Fergie, the full page thank you in the Italian press after he left.....
The thing is, he’s not quoted anybody. Even if he doesn’t name the source himself, if he has any actual information he’d quote the words the person said to him.

Instead, when he writes an article with no quotes, it’s just a speculation piece that can’t be relied on.

Burnley away was a bloody nightmare!

Kun came good and scored late on, but then having that to hold on to and Burnley launching balls into our box nearly gave me a nervous breakdown haha

It was all fantastic though.

Something happened late on. Did they have a penalty appeal or a close offside or something? I remember it being up there almost as bad as the Iheanaxho and Son misses.

He can go where he wants in my book. Even them.

Suspect that bunch of mardarses would down tools half way through the first training session though.

Would love to see him at Forrest, he’s the only manager with the temperament to work for Maranakis, or perhaps the worst temperament to work for him, box office either way

If it’s been long enough now for him to warrant another shot at the prem! Forrest would be ok for me anyone above that not so happy about

Gutted but it be more manager upheaval in 18 months something will go wrong
