Careful now, you're in grave danger of talking too much SENSE!

we got away with 3 diabolical decisions against norwich away, the 2 denied penalties 1 against tevez and 1 against aguero. if you add to that the obstruction of joe hart when lescott managed to head off the line. if that had gone in we would of been 1 down instead of 2 up. that could of had a massive effect on not only the match but where we stand today.

Every team in the league, all 4 leagues infact, will be able to come up with stats like that.
Webb is ref, no biggie. The team is on the verge of a title, beating Newcastle away is more than within it's capabilities if that title is to be won, the ref is irrelevant.

"the ref is irrelevent", with respect is utter bollox.
hopefully we will attack and defend to the max, unfortunately the outcome isnt entirely in our hand, with football being as it is 1 mistake by the officials can destroy our season. i have every faith in the team and just have to keep my fingers crossed that no big mistakes are made by the men with the whistle and the flags.

The Premier League, via the PGMOB, announces the referees and assistants for the matches on the following weekend on Monday afternoon at 16:00.

This occurs regardless of the presence, or not, of a Monday night match.

For the first time this season (aside from Easter), no such announcement was made yesterday afternoon prior to the Manchester derby - the Championship Play Off, League One and League Two officials were released, so someone was in the office!
The referees have even been announced for the Blue Square Premier Play Offs next Monday.

Seems they wanted to know the outcome of last night before letting Ferguson choose who he wanted for the key games this weekend.

Oh ffs - get a grip, and put this delusional, paranoid bullshit to bed.
Bleating on about Slur Alex running football just makes us look fucking ridiculous in the eyes of others.
You quote the 'Football Is Fixed' blog - well obviously they have no preconceived agenda.
There are blogs out there who think that aliens abducted Elvis, and that Diana was killed by the Illuminati - do you go along with their bonkers worldview too?
This childish idea that the whole of football is in collusion to stop City winning anything is pathetic.
We have got the best referee for our biggest game, but still you and the rest of the 'shadowy figure on the grassy knoll' brigade aren't happy.
Is there any referee in this country who you would be happy with,or all they all in on the conspiracy?

It could easily be the case though that one of our players, Yaya and his temper for example, could force his hand? It could be the case a ref makes a genuine mistake. Thing is though if the team has scored goals which only the team can do, that is how it is irrelevant.

-- Wed May 02, 2012 8:33 am --

Madness isn't it! If I genuinely believed in something like this, i'd give up watching whatever it is I was convinced was being fixed, as what would be the point?

I honestly think there are some loons on here who would,if they were Spanish, have a season ticket for the bullfighting and go every week, but complain like fuck that is is fixed because they support the bull, and it never wins.

Do you find it strange that the agenda threads are very very quiet at the moment?

They're waiting in the wings, no scratch that - waiting in the shadows to see what happens in the next 2 games!
