Howard Webb to Ref Newcastle Game

We have a great record under Webb, people need to think for themselves rather than follow pre-programmed lines.

Howard Webb is the best referee in the country. If we score the goals against Newcastle and QPR we'll be the best team in the country.

Webb's record this season with us is 4 games, city won 3, 1 draw, 0 defeats

Stoke away 1-1, Spurs home 3-2, Norwich home 5-1, Everton home 2-0. No massively contentious decisions given against us. Could be said that he is a bit of a homer. Could be said that he was a bit 'influenced' by the media witchhunt about the Balotelli/Parker incident.

Refereed Newcastle's 3-0 win over the rags at the turn of the year

So why do I feel like the rags have got a result with this one?

Because you are paranoid.
Fortunately that ensures that you will never be alone on this forum.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!
Paranoia agreat game for all the familly and anyone else who happens to be watching

Can't we have someone like Michael Oliver of Mark Halsey, we hardly ever get these two?
So, we will be playing 12 men again, but we can do it, c'mon city.

Straight yes or no here,Carolyn.
Do you honestly think that Howard Webb is taking money to stop City winning?
I presume you do,otherwise you wouldn't say we were playing twelve men.
So - yes or no?

No, we're playing 11 men, the 11 men of Newcastle. Webb is officiating those 11 men who will be playing the 11 men of City. That's it, that's all there is to it.

I know mate - what on earth possessed me to think that a woman could give a one word answer to anything heaven only knows.

Yes the same howard webb where we have won 3 and drew 1 with him in charge this season..

And the same one who could and probably should of sent balo off against spurs, however he did us a favour kept him on, balo then got a pen put it away & the rest is history........

Cheers howard :)

Taken from the Football Is Fixed blog

The Premier League, via the PGMOB, announces the referees and assistants for the matches on the following weekend on Monday afternoon at 16:00.

This occurs regardless of the presence, or not, of a Monday night match.

For the first time this season (aside from Easter), no such announcement was made yesterday afternoon prior to the Manchester derby - the Championship Play Off, League One and League Two officials were released, so someone was in the office!
The referees have even been announced for the Blue Square Premier Play Offs next Monday.

Seems they wanted to know the outcome of last night before letting Ferguson choose who he wanted for the key games this weekend.

Or they just waited to see which was the biggest game this weekend so they could appoint the man they feel is the No.1 ref? If we'd lost on Monday night the Toon match would be much less significant.

So it could be said then he's got a pro-City agenda! These refs, apparently, have the capability to make split second decisions whilst analysing what long-term effects it will have on united. Maybe Webb sits in a room on his own and is pro City and when he saw Mario's stamp he thought, (in a split second, mind), 'well if I dismiss that Mario might go on and score'. He's a good'n is our howard!
