Howard Webb

Lets remember WEBB is a closet RAG so he is always going side against us. As for the two recent disgraceful decisions I question the impartiality of said Refs, both against the same opposition !!! NO surely not corruption in football !!!!!!!! and to think we ever questioned FIFA and UEFA !!!! well we all know now don`t we

I think the corruption at Fifa & Uefa is slightly diferent to what the PL is being acused of, for the PL bosses to instruct refs to stop city at all cost is pretty serious imo. Scudamore could really be looking at jail time and a multi billion pound organization ripped apart by the authorities. All this by the powers that run our football just to keep the rags happy?

To keep Murdoch happy. I think it's much bigger than a club.

Scudamore said this..'There’s lots of fans around the world who wish Manchester United were winning it again,’ he added. ‘But you have to balance that off against putting on a competition.’

He doesn't put anything on or does he?

The teams put the competition on and if the rags are not good enough they are not good enough and the best team wins the league regardless of who they are or how many fans they have in the far east.

His comments suggest he has some sort of control over the destiny if he wishes or if it was needed....you know to protect the income streams coming in.

I don't think he should be saying it but he's probably not wrong tbh. I guess if I owned Sky, BT, PL rights who would I want to show to get the biggest audiences? I guess we will just have to bide our time before we replace them which could be a while, but it will come, i'm certain of it.

Apparently a £300k bet was placed against a Liverpool win (on Betfair I think) before their game at Exeter. Now why would you do that unless you were confident it would come in?

How many clubs have the name of an online betting company on their shirts? (Stoke are effectively owned by Bet365).
Why was a crook like Shinawatra so desperate to buy a PL club?
Why does Jon Moss get a statistically unlikely number of BT games?

Agents, players, bookies, clubs, the TV companies and even the PL all have vested interests in getting outcomes that suit their purpose. It's well documented that any ref who gave a penalty against the rags, didn't ref them again for 12 months, despite that being statistically highly unlikely. And when they did, you could guarantee there would be a penalty or red card in their favour.

And if he's saying that in public, I wonder what he's saying behind closed doors?

The fact that Liverpool played 9 players from the youth academy may of had a influence..
