HS2 - Birmingham to Manchester scrapped.

Was that when when you reached Piccadilly? and I mean the area, not the station. Never have I seen so many drunk, drugged, dirty people in that place the last time I visited town. What a disgrace it was.
Even if there were no people around, that whole Piccadilly-Piccadilly Gardens-High Street half mile is a fucking dump.

They haven’t all got tram systems or local commuter rail services to suburbs, which was what the graph was about.
Yes I read the note in the chart but I’m still unsure of its intent. Maybe we just rely on buses more than other countries. Perhaps it includes areas in Wales and Scotland that are difficult to build a rail service in. Is 250000 enough people to justify an expensive tram system?

So many questions. I’m not sure you can compare countries in this way and definitively rank them in order of best to worst.

The state of the train as well he couldn’t believe how old the whole infrastructure was

Sounds like you were there when the rags were at home.

I beg to differ Berlin to Leipzig ice train 90 euros return to sit on the fuckin floor or stand up for 3 hours brilliant, I’ve had better trams from the Etihad. Spains trains are pretty good though.
You might be better off getting a direct train between those two cities. You'd save an hour and forty five minutes by not going around the houses.
