Huddersfield (H) Post Match Thread

Exciting and innovative going forward but some work to be done when defending with that system, especially when the opponent has someone who can hurl it in from far out.

Fernandinho knocked the ball out of play around the 18 yard line a couple of times when he could have knocked it out further upfield; other players also put the ball out in areas where it presented Huddersfield with easier opportunities. Another thing to note is that we have bigger players marking no one at some set pieces (e.g. Gundogan) and smaller players (e.g. Bernardo) ‘marking’ giants; not sure what the point of that is. Laporte also has an enormous area to cover when Mendy is playing left-wing, so he can understandably tire later in the game and he looked to be breathing hard towards the end.

Not complaints, just observations.
