Huddersfield (H) Post Match Thread

Amazing performance by the champions. Amazing football.best football ever played by a club side including Barca,Madrid or anyone else. It's just like watching CITY. It's just like watching CITY. There's a song for you. It's amazing to be a blue. I'm so giddy.
 
Aguero was brilliant today. I am struggling to remember a better performance from him in the last three years or so.

Come on!! How about Gündogan, Sterling, and even Kun? Just wait and keep reading. The bluemoaners won’t give up. On a more serious note, fantastic performance by all, but Kun’s performance in general, not only the 3 goals and the one that hit the post, was just above all other players.
 
Superb today, D Silva looks to have shed some timber and seemed quicker and sharper all round, Kun was razor quick again. Unusually, I thought anyway, D Silva started off on the right hand side in attack and linked up very well with his namesake. I like the way our wide players and midfield players often swop sides throughout the match.
Strong showing from Ilkay in midfield, he was everywhere, tidying up at the back, winning the ball back in midfield.....surprised that he gets some stick as Pep obviously rates him.
Little wobble just before HT with their goal but overall, could have had 10. They were pretty poor though.
 
Laporte grows in confidence every match. I know he didn’t have much defending to do today, but he looks more commanding than when he first joined.
 
Excellent today. The success of that system can't really be judged on today though as Huddersfield were totally and utterly clueless, their game play seemed to just be don't get Twatted. We may see more of it at home against lower teams willing to sit back and just hope for a point, against stronger teams there's some vulnerabilities but I suspect he wouldn't play that system against teams that might contemplating trying to attack.

Can't fault anybody, all were impressive, perhaps none more so than Mendy who is an absolute animal however special mention to how sharp Sergio looked. After the surgery at the end of last season to fix a pain that he's said has been with him for 5 years, if today's performance is anything to go by, we can expect an even better Aguero this season which hardly seems possible.

Opposition needs to be considered, I think they'll go down this year but a great statement to make in our first game after the kdb injury news.
 
Wonderful today with MOTM performances all over the field. Some on here pissed off about conceding but I find it hard to get phased by it. I grew up in the Joe Merced era. His philosophy was it doesn’t matter how many the opposition score as long as we score more. It worked then and it works now.

It’s so good to have Mendy back and fit again. He will be immense this season if he stays fit.
