Huddersfield (H) Post Match Thread

Well that was alright....

Crazy coming away happy
Yes I did. We seemed to have risen a level since last season. The passing was sublime and at pace, and I think most teams who come to "park the bus" will come unstuck against that sort of interplay.
One thing that truly puzzles me is that teams still come and defend/waste time from the kick off until the final whistle, even if they are being beaten heavily. With the money flowing into each PL club these days, you would think that clubs would at least try to buy players who actually want to play football, but I suppose the managers of these clubs know only one way to play, ie, to survive.
Still, we're 2 points better off than last season's matches against the same opponents, so onwards and upwards! ;-)

Well that was fucking exceptional.

Mendy, Aguero and Silva stood out. Good games too for everyone else. Foden is continuing to gain the trust of the manager, players and fans.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "I never saw Sergio like right now. When he come here in the past he was always at a high level. He scored three goals but not just that - he created chances and passes and movement and he connected really well with Gabriel Jesus."

On Benjamin Mendy: "Hopefully he can be fit for the rest of the season. He gives us the opportunity to attack in different ways."

On David Silva, whose son Mateo - who spent five months in hospital after being born prematurely - was at the game: "His son fought a lot to be here. Wow, the first game of Mateo here - the free-kick goal was amazing. Mateo came in the locker room with us, it was a good moment.
mods, I've copied from the BBC , if I'm not allowed to do this please delete
It's fine from broadcasters it's the papers that get all arsey

What a scintillating performance albeit against a poor side. Mendy was a beast and my MOTM and his crosses are just waiting to be eaten up by Aguero or Jesus.

Aguero was all over the place, full of running and mazy dribbling. You can tell he is fully fit and if he stays fit (please) then I can see him breaking his scoring record. Merlin masterclass as usual.

All this without Sterling, Sane, Mahrez and KDB. Frightening thing for the rest of the League is that we can play better.

I think if they lads keep at it, some of them might have a future in the game. :)

Fucking excellent, you shower of
lucky bastards. :)

Have to also point out, what a worldie of a save the Huddersfield keeper pulled off, after conceding 6, point blank from Bernardo down to his right. Superb.
