wouldnt believe that guy, he said that we were putting a stop on transfer activity. then we bid for 3 players and put 3 players on transfer window.

difficult to tell - we haven't signed anybody since the transfer freeze idea first surfaced

who knows when the bids were made ? may have been before the freeze

what explains the hold up with parker for example ?

What if this is a rumour put out to smoke people out, and a big transfer where to be announced tomorrow as well as a couple of sackings

7/8

Still shortening.

Re: goat the legend - Hughes going soon.... [Merged]

Two reasons why the odds are falling through the floor on Betfair: -

1. Hardly anyone is now laying on Hughes to go.
2. Only £4000 has been staked on the market, a £10 can force the odds down a hell of a lot, especially if nobody is laying due to the likelihood.

Not as clear cut as the bookmakers suspending the market though.

When was the betting suspended by them all?

It wasn't, that was my point.

If they knew anything it would be.

A flurry of betting activity means they change the odds just to cover themselves.

The bookies HAVE suspended betting on that bet. Betfair is not a bookmakers in the traditional sense, that's why it's still open on there.

It would be good to hear molineuxblue on this one as he works for skybet.
