I don't know why people smell a rat. I'm not saying the info is true because I just don't know, but it seems perfectly plausible to me that the owners have had enough.

The simple fact is that going off results and performances on the pitch, Mark Hughes is doing a bad job.

If MH is sacked it'll be because his results were not good enough.

I'm all for Hughes out.

A certain Mr Bridge won't be very happy if the guy who's just bought him gets the boot?! Wasn't Hughes (and not the 120k a week) the reason he joined?

I can vouch for him. I can assure tha that he is no random WUM. He has in the past told me about stuff that has turned out to be 100% spot on, stuff that hadn't been mentioned anywhere on the press or Internet. Whether this happens or not remains to be seen but I am 100% certain they are at very least considering giving rag-Leslie boot.

Great - another poster who has to snipe at our manager because of one of the teams he played for... Did you hope we'd get beat every time Schmeichel was in goal for us? Are you glad his son wants to leave our club? Do you think we're selling him because his dad "was a rag" and we want to ruin his career because of it?

Fair play you don't like Hughes, who has had to be the manager of the richest club in the world all season yet has had 7 days to do anything with that money. But him playing for utd is a pathetic arguement to use for him to be sacked.

People smell a rat because the very same guy said Villa was a done deal!

If the players win by getting rid of Hughes then good luck to the next manager, he won't stand a chance

that's why i can't see it happening. even if you think MH has made a mess out of it, you'd recognise the need to back him at this stage to protect the next guy. timing is just all wrong.

Or the timing is just about right, 3 more weeks to the end of the transfer window, the ADUG big signing still ongoing and new manager
