Hughes Inners Does Todays Result/Performance

I've always been a Hughes inner and was at the game yesterday (320 mile round trip),
But yesterdays performance was so bad because there was no urgency/passion.
There were a couple of chances we could have put away but didn't.
And when Hull broke they looked like they would nick a goal (And nearly did twice).
No-one actually seemed to care if they won or draw.
Were they just picking up wages?
With the exception of Liverpool, with a team of this quality we should have won against the other 6.
Which would have put us top of the league if we had won them.

Should Hughes stay, should Hughes go, I don't know.
Who would we replace them with, and would they do any better.
It is also the 11 players on the pitch in the 90 minutes that effect the result.

I responded in and I'm still in. This is a pointless discussion. The Arabs are running the club properly, we need to get used to it. Hughes and his team have an objective to finish in the top six this season, that's it. At the end of the season he will have an appraisal and rewarded accordingly...whatever that means. The players and staff need time to gel a bunch of high quality players what currently looks like The Harlem Globetrotters together......let's stop talking about sacking our manager....I know old habits die hard....let's support our team and the manager like we are the biggest and best club in the world.

yesterdays performance doesnt change my view on things. Okay, its not good enough at the moment, but im not one for sacking managers willy nilly when we are currently in the top 6 (which was our aim before the season started), in the quarter finals of the carling cup.

As a city fan that goes home and away, and the people i go with to away games, the feeling is generally the same, our target of a top 6 finish is on the cards, and we are in touching distance of the 'top 4'. We have what i hope will be a similar night to hamburg to look forward to on wednesday, and fingers crossed a semi final then.

IF, and its a big if, hughes was to go, were back at square one. and new manager, will have to bring in his own players, introduce his own style of play AND if a hiddink or mourinho was to come in, would city fans show him more patience than they are doing with hughes? i think they would

I still strongly support the manager but for the first time accept that the poor results have been largely to do with him and not entirely down to player cock-ups.

Not just one result, but the draw yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back, I'm now leaning more towards the "Hughes Out" brigade.

I'm tired of defending him, if we don't turn it around in the next two games he 100% has to go.

I think Hughes will be here to the end of the season unless the brown stuff really does hit the fan. I also think if we finish the season in 5/6 spot he will remain at the club for the start of next season aswell. At the end of last season if someone would of offered you 6th spot, going in to December; 3 points of Arsenal with a game in hand and only had lost one game all season would you of took it?, i know i would. Thats not me saying i haven't been disappointed with are results/performances to date because i have, put i think we need to look at the bigger picture. Are we a club on the up? yes, has the club improved dramatically over the pass 14 months or so both on and off the pitch? Yes. I know its frustrating and we want to see success however, this will take time and it is not going to happen over night. Yes we have spent a lot of money and you would be expecting a bigger return of some of the players we have bought but, like they say money doesn't buy instant success, it will come in time we just need to be patient.

Im still an IN but have edged slightly nearer the fence.
i do recall singing/waving bye bye fergie at THAT game 20 years ago!
So will give Hughes a bit longer to sort it out.
