Hughes reveals contract talks

I don't particularly like Hughes any more, his interviews irritate me more than anything.

My head says give the man another season, my heart say get rid, he's clueless.

They grate on me a little, too, but I'll settle for results on the pitch first and top interviewing technique second. He grates a lot less than Wenger, MON, RedKrapp, Bruce, Rafa Paella, that pillock MANUre had as assistant, Queiroz, Phelan and Lord of the SourFaced HaggisQuaffers, the wee sleekit cowrin timrous BaconFacedPurpleNosedTosser.

Good to see that the owners are ridding City of the image of being a soft touch where mediocrity or less is reward with a bumper pay day.

Although I still have faith in them and expect this to be bollocks

Im quite releaved actually, don't get me wrong, I have slated him in the past like really slated him. I can't help but feel that this is a step in the right direction though, if he gets signed up it can put and end to people complaining about him and let the team focus on football more rather than their manager. Also it will prevent us being in the same poisition next season with a new manager, let him have his own squad and we will be sorted.

Its no use burying your head in the sand thinking that signing another piece of paper is not gonna make one jot of differance. If he doesn't start delivering results he's gone end of.

You mean like winning the last 6 league games at home?

You are really going to be pissed off at the beginning of next season then.

Let’s get real about Hughes. Last December he wanted us to judge him after he had a chance to play “his player”. This despite the fact he had already spent a small fortune in the summer break. So in January window he spends another small fortune and what have we got: -
Usually at least 8 players on the pitch bought by him.
A team that still struggles to beat a 10 man relegation team (yet again).
Struggles to overcome Aalborg who at best would be relegation candidates in the Prem.
For that matter how many points have we taken off the relegation candidates this season – not many and none away from home.
With players he inherited and were good enough for a top half finish last season he added around a £100M in the summer and we get knocked out of the cup games by the mighty Brighton and Forrest.
Today we were poor by any standard. The fact that a defender got M O M says it all against 10 men. His tactics were poor and he persisted with 2 defensive midfielders despite this set up not stopping the opposition coming through our midfield in previous games. When is he going to accept that playing a lone striker (who is not right for this role) causes more problems than it solves. Play the two sacrifice a defensive midfield player and let the opposition worry about us for a change.

I say no extended contract get rid at the end of the season.

Yeah so poor we should have won by 5 goals.

We have also beaten Portsmouth, Stoke, Newcastle and Boro at home. The last time I looked all those where fighting relegation.

If its true maybe you should try and start up a petition for the new owners to be sacked?

The only problem is that they are minted and we would lose all that lovely dosh.

What? Worse than the Champions and closest challengers? Unacceptable!

Lucky for us that the league is decided by home results alone.

...

What????
