Egomaniac not shown his face all day. My my how the ego has fallen. He's probably upset Chelsea appointed Benitez already because he probably would have considered himself a candidate.

No doubt he's calling all his Tv contacts so he can join Keane and all the other failed managers. All he has left now the bastard! LOL

Arent you a Blackburn fan?

He is a blue now, said he cant stand the inbreds anymore and has come over to join us. If you are saying he can only have one team, but since he sacked it off he could n't be a Blackburn fan or a City. No gripe with Vinjay, he can support who he wants as long as it genuine, which I believe in his case it is.

He's a glory hunting so and so who turned his back on his club because they weren't winning and made up a sob story about being threatened that he never backed up. He's a bandwagon jumping glory hunter who will never be a City fan in my eyes, he's as bad as the southern rag types.

I continued to think he needed a bit more time (less than a calendar year in the job) but no league win since the season started and no away win at all has been his downfall. Football is a results game and he's not been earning them. This is the sacking that could do him some real damage but I think if he swallows his pride and takes over a Championship club without his usual crew of Boyos behind him then he can rebuild his reputation. Sam Allardyce wasn't too proud to step in at West Ham. Now look at them.

Redknapp is a very astute replacement on a 2 and a half season deal perhaps.

Am I an old cynic

or does it seem as though Twitcher has been up to his old tricks again. Leak a story about Paul Stretford being in advanced talks with Ukraine about the Tax Dodger taking over, when we all know he wont move away from Sandbanks. All the while knowing that Tony Fernandes will pull the plug on Hughes in case he loses the said Twitcher. Disgraceful way to get yourself a job. All the morals of a Rat. Or maybe it's just me jumping to conclusions

Hughes record with money spent related to league performance:

Blackburn: £22.8m.(net -£9.3m).
Pld: 146 W: 59 D: 39 L: 48 GS: 183 GC: 177 GD: 6 Pts: 216.
win percentage of 40.4%.

MCFC: £241m.(net -£200m).
Pld: 55 W: 22 D: 13 L: 20 GS: 91 GC: 77 GD: 14 Pts: 79.
win percentage of 40%.

Fulham: £8m(net £4m).
Pld: 38 W: 11 D: 16 L: 11 GS: 49 GC: 43 GD: 6 Pts: 49.
win percentage of 28.9%.

QPR: £36.2m(net -£34.1m).
Pld: 30 W: 6 D: 6 L: 18 GS: 33 GC: 54 GD: -21 Pts: 24.
win percentage of 20%.

Total:

Spent: £308m(net -£239.4m).

Pld: 269 W: 98 D: 74 L: 97 GS: 356 GC: 351 GD: 5 Pts: 368.

Pts per game of 1.37.
Win % of 36.4%.

Winning just over a third of your games and having a goal difference after 271 games of just 5 shows that you doing nothing more than decent at best. Got progressively quickly downhill since Blackburn.

Re: Am I an old cynic

Totally agree mate. There was more chance of me getting that Ukraine gig than old twitcher!!

Hughes is at his best when he does n't change much, at Blackburn and fulham he had a good core; At QPR they had just been promoted and Warnock had already brought in his own new faces, added to the fact that they have n't had a settled squad for many years you can see there were problems with a simlilar plan at QPR however Hughes scattergun approach went too far, squad restructuring was needed just not to that extent in that level of timeframe.

Hughes is trapped in limbo between top level clubs and relegation fodder, but he is unlikely to get his level i.e mid-table mediocrity again and has proved incapable of creating that position by taking a club up to that level.

Re: Am I an old cynic

Won't matter who's managing QPR by the weekend ...... they'll still get stuffed at the Swamp!

Apparently not now. Vinjay is one of those fickle so called supporters who jumped ship when the going got tough at Blackburn. He is and always will be a rover but that is just my viewpoint.

Re: Am I an old cynic

You may be an old cynic but you are also right. He has no morals but will you hear any manager/$ky dis him ? hell no. I hope they go down faster than the Titanic.
