Hughes..the reality

"if i was you i'd put on a tin hat and run for the nearest shelter.
basically, you are fucked. 2 posts in and to post this utter bollox has become all too common on here late"

OK you are entitled to an opinion, but you agression is unwarranted, if you only want to read want you want to hear there is not much hope of sensible comments from you evidenced by your reply, btw what you write does not make sense, and by the way what is an ITK?

If it means anything I have missed just one home game this season and have spent fortunes following this club, the club that I love, for the past 28 years.

My post is well founded, it's a pity to get such a dumb reaction

Off to find me tin hat

agression? can't see you lasting long on here if you think that was agressive. You've basically read a couple of other posts and are going with what the general consensus of Hughes seems to be and passing it off as if you are on the "inside".

When in reality there are only positive noises coming from all the staff about Hughes' methods. This includes the playing staff.

I know what a "flat spin " is. What makes you characterise / ize the Kompany-Hamburg issue as causing a "flat-spin panic", and who comprises this "many" you mention.

Whilst at Blackburn he apparently developed contacts in South America, which is how he found Villanueva. He has signed some really good players for us since he's been at the club, I don't doubt that.

Sorry chaps, but he (Hughes) is not up to the job. The backroom have little confidence in him (says who?), he does not communicate at all well (says who?), is aloof and unproachable (says who?), does not treat his players as adults (says who?). It is hard being objective about any Manager's tactical cleverness, but the consensus is that he is not strong in this area too either with the unfortunate characteristic of seeing problems but not acting on them fast enough (who reached this consensus- I wasn't surveyed), great case being his Derby grumble of "not enough pace and power to get round the back of United" then putting Petrov on after 80 mins (he's returning from injury- you'd complain if he'd picked Petrov and dropped Robinho and we'd lost).

Hughes will not "get it right" at City (says who?). Despite claims that he has an eye for detail and is involved in all aspects of the club, Eddie Niedzwiecki takes all the training and the majority of the technical work (he's the manager not the coach). The final straw for many was the absolute "flat spin panic" panic that MH and MB went into when they found out that Kompany and was unfit SWP was doubtful for HAMBURG game (we've not got quality in depth- if he hadn't panicked that would also be used as justification that he's clueless).

As much as I admire some of his qualities such as the ability (through a good scouting network) to unearth bargains such as Samba and RSQ for clubs with a limited budget I believe he is not capable of handling big names (says who?). I know as fact that City were offered a very big name striker in January but Hughes observation was that whilst, if he asked Bellamy to jump he'd ask "how high", he would not get the same response from the "big name" so we settled for (very much) second best (says who?)

Sorry to be negative, but we must look at other options....special options maybe

You seem to have thought up several things to yourself and formed several opinions on the matter and are now confusing your thoughts with reality.

Seriously we need to stick with a manager... Because if not it will only be the same situation next season, "we need a new manager". IMO i think we should stick with MH now... E.G. look at David Moyes and where he gets Everton every season... hes been their a good few years now

I fancy that if Hughes had the ability to walk on water, make Stella Artois from gnats' pee, stick a banana up his anus and yank same from his ear, some would say he wasn't up to the job of vaudeville entertainer. If we had the Archangel Gabriel at leftback some would moan that the flapping of his wings might lose us a penalty. There is not a shed load of issues wrong with MCFC and the managerial set-up and I suspect it will not be long before we establish a consistency which would take us into the top six on a regular basis and contenders for a top four place in the medium term.

The day that an ITK is reliable is when they tell us where they got their info from. It's obvious that their "reliable" source isn't assed about people finding out so why not just tell us.

no it doesnt mean anything in the context of your post, i have been going longer & very rarely miss a game but dont have any inside info , but if i did i would tell all or keep it to myself rather post another half story, if you cant back it up then its just another pointless rumour with no substance. but you are entitled to your opinion because without some facts & names thats all it is

its like the newwspapers "a city insider said", " someone close to the club said"
