Since he and Mata like to drift around to create space, I suspect we'll be doing one of those fluid front line things rather than locking either of them down to one position.

Chelsea aren't messing around are they? They're just throwing the money out with no concerns while we seem afraid to because of Financial Fair Play. I doubt Chelsea are done yet either. £32million for Hazard, £38million for Hulk, £7million for Marin.

Great news for City is that on top of £85m for Torres and Luiz, they have bought Marin,Bruyne, Hazard, and maybe Hulk for another £80m. If anyone gets hit by FFPR it will be them, not us.

Very odd situation for a team to spend so much money without a manager in place, but at the same time they have no choice if they want to stay where they are.

The most important signings for CFC are yet to come

1) Replacement for Torres - they can't surely let Drogba and Anelka go, and persist with Torres up front? You can't win anything without a goal scorer and it seems unlikely that Sturridge could play alone up top

2) The manager. Suspect they will leave Di Matteo in limbo
