Even if we don't have to pay £87m, we'd be round the £50m mark and that's a lot of money for someone who has only proven himself in Portugal. Remember Quaresma? Amazing for Porto, got his big money move to Inter. Was shite.

I'd have him because he's got the right attributes but no for more than £25m.

But for every Quaresma and Maniche, there was a Deco, Ferreira, Carvalho, and Nani who have made it big outside of Portugal. Hulk would be a risk but definitely has the prerequisites to make it in England I think - strong, fast, and skillful. His temperament would be a worry though, he's easily wound up like Balo.

If we wanted him then we wouldnt have to pay £50m imo. Hes a very good player but he isnt worth that much. Porto dont want to sell because they dont need the money but if they did sell then i think £30m would easily be enough

He's too much of a striker, and so not really what we need - I know he plays off a wing, and we've mostly played Mario from the left, but I think that this looks just a wee bit too attacking:

___DJ___GB
_____YY___
HLK__CT__DS

And then we'd have Dzeko, Mario and Johnson on the bench. We need another central midfielder, first and foremost.

Of course, if Tevez left then I'd have Hulk in a second. He's class, and it would be the best name I've ever had on my back.
