Hull (a) Post Match Thread

The most pleasing thing about the last three results is Pep learned from the Leicester game. Best thing that happened to us. A real wake up call that he needed to adapt to the league without compromising his core beliefs. Has the guts to drop anyone not performing and is ruthless but in a more diplomatic way. I guess the next game will tell us more and I think we have turned the corner now. When you look at that bench yesterday we need some re-inforcenents or start to promote one or two. All good though for me so far as you can see more pragmatism. As others have said this guy may have beliefs but he's not stupid, and said at the beginning he is also here to learn.

It wasn't a vintage performance, but we ground them down eventually. The three points are all that really mattered. Thought Otamendi and Kolarov were both very good. The defence has looked fairly solid now for the last three games.

3 points and some nice football following the changes second half. Yaya was immense again.

Aguero to come in and Jesus too...

A fully deserved win, how can commentators say it was tough on hull, where did they dream up that they had a spell in the first half ?

Truth known hull tried to keep it tight in the first half and played not to let a goal in which made them flat up front creating nothing, I was behind the goal at that end were hull kicked towards and hardly so the ball unless our defence passed it around.

Second half hull fans got behind the team and they tried to attack, which explains why they played tight in the first half as when they came forward we picked them off to finish nicely at three nil. Had we have played another twenty minutes it would have been five.

Three well deserved points, shame fans didn't wake up til we scored. Atmosphere was like at burnley away, don't know what is happening these days, home atmosphere is getting better away has gone a bit flat.

Think playing a flat back four is certainly helping us, there's greater protection on the flanks and it offers our opponent's less space in an attacking sense.

The rags had to wait till the final minute to secure the points against this lot. We were never in danger at our end but needed a bit of magic to break the deadlock. It came with Raheem, what a transformation is going on with this kid, every time he gets the ball something happens. Unfortunalty the Raheem revolution will not be televised as the nation does not like giving credit out to their number one boo boy.

The meeja love an underdog and when it suits them they value pluckiness, organisation and hard graft even if it means applauding more anti football.

I've been saying for years we need to give the opposition more of the ball to bring them out and give them some over confidence. If we'd done that against Leicester the score would've been reversed.
