I rarely post on here, more of a lurker really, but I have no idea why people are slagging off Dzeko today. While defending a corner he saved almost a certain goal, and took his chance for his goal well. Sure he had one saved about 2 minutes earlier, but its not like it was a horrible miss. He worked fairly hard today, won some headers, and earned some free-kicks. Give him some slack.

My main problem with him is that his job lies in the attacking part of the game, and that is where he is useless, he's more of a hindrance. I like the defensive effort and all that, but he's the lone striker and he just can't do it. The midfield does a great job working the ball forward and all of a sudden it gets to Dzeko and it's like the play hits a wall. The most obvious goal-scoring opportunity lies in him passing the ball to where he should be, but he's not, he's where one of the midfielders both should and want to be.

Superb team performance from 10 Man City, oddly we looked rock solid at the back when VK went off. Great performances from MDM and Garcia and Silva won us that match. Coming off the back of a poor week with 2 big defeats, and the early sending off, we could have seen City collapsing and our title hopes in tatters but the blues responded superbly and showed we will be there fighting.

David Silva was absolutely flawless, one of his best games for us.

No one had a bad game, everyone did their jobs, concentrated well and worked hard.

Massive three points for us that was much needed.
