1, 2, 3, 4 I wanna hear the Tigers Roar, Roooaaaarrrrr! Roooaaarrrrr!

I liked that song when I was younger... Ha!

Still sing it now cringe worthy though but a Hyde original, I think.

It was going back about 15 years when I heard that song...
Monday nights at Ewen Fields, it was class standing in the shead. Bloody cold though.

It certainly was I now stand on the Leigh Street side a bit warmer there for some reason.

Just a quick reminder to any Manchester City fans wanting a football fix this Saturday

On Saturday the 9th October there are NO Premiership or Championship matches and we have a game against Boston United at Ewen Fields 3pm kick off.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.hydefc.co.uk/newsarticle.php?id=239" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.hydefc.co.uk/newsarticle.php?id=239</a>

Please come along to the match if you can support the Tigers in this tough game, like you have done in renovating our ground.

You will all be welcomed with open arms, so please come along and help make this a day to remember for both Hyde Fc and Manchester City working together.

Regards

Phil Chadwick
Hyde Fc
Transport Manager

We will be glad to meet any new fans and enjoy a good game of non league football.

Hope you can make it

Wish Hyde all the best with this. If you haven't seen all the improvements made at Ewen Fields with City's help then get along and have a look. It was always a good place to watch football, but now it is excellent and something we Blues can be proud of. I went to the Arsenal Res game and loved the new feel of the place.

If by chance you can't get up to Tameside, but still want a game, Maine Road F.C. take on League leaders New Mills at Brantingham Road on Saturday. New Mills are already running away with the League, being 11 points clear and two games in hand on 2nd place Winsford. They've played 12, won 11 and drawn 1. Could Road be the first team to beat them?

Maine Road FC v New Mills
Saturday, 9th October 2010 3:00pm
Brantingham Road, Manchester M21 0TT
Admission £5, Concession £3. U-16's Free if accompanied by an adult.

City colours very welcome!

Hyde fans have had some great chants down the years. The song about Prince Moncrieff - a terrible striker - being a favourite.

To the tune of 'Prince Charming' (by Adam and the Ants)
Prince Moncrieff, Prince Moncrieff
Scoring goals is nothing to be scared of

A song was made when we were doing really well and top of the league at Christmas and our Arch Rivals Stalybridge Celtic were in a relegation battle.

It went something like this.

Away in a manger no crib for a bed
the little Lord Jesus turned round and he said

Hyde are going up and the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
Hyde are going up and the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down

Altogether Now

Hyde are going up and the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
Hyde are going up and the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down
the Bridge are going down

Quite good when we get the whole stand singing it especially the more vocal ones.<br /><br />-- Fri Oct 08, 2010 8:08 pm --<br /><br />If anybody is thinking of going to watch Bury tomorrow then don't forget seeing as you hate the "RAGS" that

Bury Fc and Gigg Lane is also the Home to FC UNITED of MANCHESTER

Sorry to say it mate but you look pretty shit I went down yesterday because i've got family in linconshire so i've watched boston a couple of times when there so went to see how they are doing aswell as help hyde out a bit. From what i saw you are really going to struggle this year.

Thanks for the info.

It's "Non League Day" this weekend (no Premier or Championship football at all) - and Hyde FC are a offering 50% discount on admission for City season ticket holders.

If you don't have a season ticket - or fancy bringing along a mate who doesn't, then there are others that are eligible for 50% off entry - http://www.hydefc.co.uk/newsarticle.php?id=448

If you don't have a way to claim a discount - admission is normally £10 for adults and £2 for kids (£5 other concessions I think)

Hyde v Harrogate at 3pm Saturday - Ewen Fields, Hyde

For those who don't like the idea because they are called 'United' - they have not been called that for over a year now - and the ground reflects their partnership with City.

Hyde are unbeaten so far this season - and have been playing a very high quality of football for the Blue Square North.

I must sound like I work for Hyde - I'm just someone who enjoys going to their home games when City aren't at home and when I can't get to the away games :D

i've been thinking of going to the EDS games at hyde this season, and maybe a few other games there, its only down the road from me but i've never been,

does anyone know is if there's decent parking for citys EDS games, is it free or is it charged and if so whats the cost ?!

I checked fixture list and they play colwyn bay so i will stand in away end to support them.Colyn bay is only about 20 miles from whre i live.

Just checked the fixtures again - it is Harrogate they play this weekend.

For those who like know that little bit more.

A pint in the social club is about £2.70 (Carlsberg) and a pie is about £1.70.

The social club opens at least an hour before kickoff if you fancy a couple :)

For those who don't knopw where it is and use public transport - the 201 bus from Manchester stops about 100 yards from the ground (get off just after Morrisons in Hyde) - and the nearest train station is Newton For Hyde OR Godley - which costs about £3.30 return from Piccadilly.
