My god... what is it with the knee jerk reaction of the hughes haters.. If at the end of the 38 games and 2 cups then we can decide on IN or OUT.

Not 12 games in and in 6th

It's not "knee Jerk" though is it? it's 18 months or so since he's been in charge and where were we around two years ago? hardly any progression on the pitch? granted the squad has been strengthened but since he's been in charge I've not seen any real improvment apart from the odd game or spell here or there and also what I percieve as lack of passion and tactical ability and awareness during games and it seems him not learning from his mistakes has finnaly wore me down.

I'm also tired of his post match statements, at first I though he was right to be guarded and come out with the same old same old but now I'm getting annoyed and bored with it.

But for arguments sake how long and how much money do the Hughes inners willing to go? 5 years, half a billion? christ on a bike I'd probably get it right eventually...

Thanks for the sarcasm guys.

But this is a forum and like many I like to put the occasional post just to vent my frustration with what I see going on or should I say not going on with the club I love.
It's not sarcasm, people think your an attention seeking thick twat.

Thanks Bluemanc for that enlightening reply. You really are a genius.

replace a few draws with wins ... Fulham.... Hull
replace a few with loses.... Liverpoo and Villa...
What real difference? other then they have a scalp and we have 2 extra points..
So do Villa and Poo
There are never any games that are bankers as we find out every season

Manure losing to Burnley!!! Sack Baconface!!

Because Hughes change from 433 to 424 has directly contributed towards the home results. We could all see the danger of equalisers in the last 3 home games, but he just made like for like subs.

His shortcomings have been exposed, and he hasn't reacted or learned from his errors

Re: Surely his time is up

Who came up with the daft idea of SWP taking all the corners? It is back to the bad old days of SP and Joey B. Foue corners he took yesterday and he took them badly just like Joey did too, only difference was he didn't hold his hands in the air before taking them. Why is it at city that we change the management we change the back room staff and all the players and still we do the same daft things? Yesterday was reall dissapointing still not sure I am in the Hughes out mob, but I am so dissapointed with the football we are playing. After the Asrenal and scum game I thought we were going to be watching good football, but we now only see it in brief flashes Why? Same old City?

Re: Surely his time is up

What pisses me off at the moment is how loads of people keep saying 'this is our bad spell', as though the rest of the season is guaranteed to be far better. Have you seen the future? Maybe this is our good spell, stop talking bollocks.

Re: Surely his time is up

Hughes isn't the manager to make City title contenders. His job to make the players gel and stabilise the team. You don't bring in so many players and expect them to perform together just like that. It works for a few games, like Internationals but over a sustained period the players need time to learn each other. This season was always going to be transitional, painful but transitional. Money spent doesn't equal instant success. That's not football. Next season will be our time, top six minimum this season and then the sky's the limit next season.

I don’t hate Hughes. Hate corrodes the hater and has no impact on the hated so what’s the point of it. I just have serious doubts about his abilities, expertise and level of experience for the job he has to do at City. He has brought in some great players but cannot get them to play as a team. They play as individuals and sometimes the sum of their individuality is greater than the opposition’s team performance and we have a good game. Unfortunately it’s not often enough to deliver what we all crave, some degree of success. I watch teams we play who don’t have anywhere near the value of player we have and yet they can out pass City, defend as a unit and finish games fitter. I don’t want us to lose games so that Hughes will be sacked I pray that he wins them all and proves my pessimism wrong. I know that the official target is 6th by the end of the season but that was published before the Club escalated its transfer programme and by Hughes’s own admission packed 3 transfer windows into 1 to speed up the “Project”. For me a top 5 position is the minimum and to maintain the progress a Champions League place next season is crucial. That’s the only way we will attract the truly top players. And statistics don’t lie wherever a team is by Christmas it is normally not too far from there by May.
That means we have to make a big improvement over the next 6 or 7 games and unfortunately I fear that this will not happen under Hughes and at best 7th by Christmas is my fear.
