When they beat us 5 - 0, it was one of my proudest moments that at 4 - 0 (after 20 minutes) our fans were still belting out bluemoon.

I'll never forget the days of Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg, Bergkamp, Henry etc. They've had some lovely players at Highbury and it looks like it'll be the same at The Emirates with Arshavin.

Sure does, I cant remember ever seeing another team get applause from the opposotion fans after a game, played some spectacular stuff back then.

Man, i remember that game. Henry was unplayable in that match. Remember 4-0 Down after 18 mins, and was late coming out 2nd half due to drinking beer (trying to forget 1st half) and said to the person next to me "never mind only 4 goals for a point" to be told its now 5-0.

Henry said it was amazing he got appluaded off by City fans

As a Spurs fan, i have to admit they play some stunning football. Wenger's a great manager but there's still something immensely annoying about him - obviously the fact that he nevers sees anything but the main issue being that he never gives credit to other teams when it's due. Saying that, i hate Benitez more than Wenger.

The only gripe i have with their fans as a whole, and i know a fair few, is lots of them ooze arrogance. I had a chat with a couple of gooners before the Pompey game last week and they said they'd both be unhappy if they didn't beat them by at least 5 goals. I went to an Arsenal QPR cup match once and they were 5-0 up, i had a ticket in the Arsenal end with a mate, and one gooner in front of me got up and left shouting this is rubbish, wiltord's shit etc etc. I suppose it's inevitable successful teams brood their fair share of arrogant fans, i'm sure you'll get quite a few soon, and i'm sure we would if we started winning titles and cups etc.

good to see a few comments about The Arsenal , yes we do have some annoying fans , some are actually demanding that wenger should be sacked because of his lack of signing players this summer and that we have not won a trophy for four years :( now how arrogant is that ?
its a nice relief coming on here to be honest :)

Youngest sister living in Finchley married to N. Irish exile....natural Arse fodder... and tbf they have played some cracjking footy under Arsene...

because of family ties thay are 'my London club' as far as that concept goes....Loved the way that Bacon face got sucked into shit with them..

...BTW have you noticed how Bacon chops was trying to cobble together a dubious alliance with the frog agianst us ?...totally unravelled after the Rags/Arse game, with Wenger noticing that Whiskynose was following a deliberate fouling policy as he did with us at the swamp last season.

Despite the redtwat's triumphalism... most of the footy world made note of the fact that the Scum did not manage a goal from open play in that game, unlike the Arse.

I suspect we will, but the weird thing is I don't know how to gloat.

Back on point since Wenger took over your team I have liked watching them. However I am pretty sure it aint going to 4 or 5 nil walkover. ;)

I remember City fans applauding Thierry Henry at COMS when Arsenal played us. Now that is something that Cristiano Ronaldo, no matter how good he is, will never get. Because he thrives on being booed and hated by everyone, he just loves it. For me that's not what the games about, he plays it in the wrong spirit. I think Arsenal play it in the right spirit though, and as much as Wenger does annoy me sometimes, he has been superb for English football. I agree that after City they are the one team I would ideally prefer to win the league.

Can't wait to see them get a good hiding next Saturday though!
