Its because their fans don't have as much passion. Watch the crowd when they score, they don't go mad , they just stand up and clap.
some of us still have the passion but we just aren't the sort that are wanted in the concrete bowl , since wenger came we attracted a lot of "new" fans who treat the afternoon at the match more like the theatre then a football match :(

That's a real shame. :(

Though I think it's happening more and more in football now.

When they beat us 5 - 0, it was one of my proudest moments that at 4 - 0 (after 20 minutes) our fans were still belting out bluemoon.

I'll never forget the days of Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg, Bergkamp, Henry etc. They've had some lovely players at Highbury and it looks like it'll be the same at The Emirates with Arshavin.

Yeah, everytime we strung two passes together, the crowd were singing "It's like watching Brazil!". Funny game that, crowd wise. Shame we got stuffed.

Arsenal are great, i hope if we land top 4 it is at the expense of bin dippers, Arshavin, Van persie, Fabregas, Eduardo, they have some pretty mean looking attiaking players. They always play the right way, unlike United, who just kick lumps out of you.

Arsenal is the one top 4 club I can tolerate. I'd love to see us get into the top 4 at the expense of Chelsea, United and Liverpool. I'm not sure who else I'd like to see there with us.

Everton perhaps.

Arsenal are a class act of a football club but Everton are mingers.

Well I'm still learning the clubs, but my initial reaction for Everton was mainly because I hate Liverpool and they're in the same area, like City is with United.

Cheers guys.

Arsenal fan here.

I heard good things about this thread through our forum so thought I'd say thanks.

Regarding our "non-passionate" fans though, I'd say that's what happens when you are a "super" club (you guys will figure it out soon) you get tourist fans. And how many of you can honestly say the atmosphere at Eastlands is the same as Maine Road?

Our away fans on the other hand...as good as any of them.

Hope the money doesn't go to your head and drive the real fans away.

Hope you break the top 4 at the expense of the Chavs

I've had a soft spot for em from the days that Alan Sunderland played for em ;)

On a serious note though, they're the only team in the premier league apart from City that I make a point of watching, what with their brand of football. Although they infuriate the hell out of me when they try and walk the bloody thing in

Here's hoping they have an off day next saturday
