no, football related crimes only get you banned, its the baning before charged thats getting peoples backs up

I think there's a clue in the letter for those who were arrested but not charged.

"I've been informed (peter fletcher) that you were arrested for theft on sunday,

i have now suspended your seasoncard pending any explanation you may wish to give, this must be put in writing"

Might be worth using the time posting on here to, oh, I don't know, maybe open Word and type a letter saying you did nothing, possibly accompanied by the proof the OB give you when you're freed without charge?

Just a thought.

As for "the club can't do that", have any of you read the back of your card? "This card remains the property of Manchester City Football Club", so they can withdraw it at any time. Loads of 5th form lawyers on here mistaking self-righteousness for the law.
Just cos it's morally right or wrong in someone's opinion doesn't make it legal or illegal.

Say no more eh?

it is correct and i beleive the op 100% the letter he worded in his post is exactly the same letter word for word that my son got, this twat wont even take your call he likes it in black and white on his desk
too right the pedantic twat does, you"re then dragged into several pointless return letters til the prick decides you"ve suffered enough. . .and yep,i was innocent too! ;-)

but its not football related. Yes they were on the way home from a game but where do you draw the line then, if they were back in manchester and got into a fight that night, would that have been football related?

Funny, I wouldn't have thought that you would have associated common sense with the police.

not a wind up, just got back home and also got the same letter (along with my wigan ticket??)

basically says that I've been informed (peter fletcher) that you were arrested for theft on sunday,

i have now suspended your seasoncard pending any explanation you may wish to give, this must be put in writing.

yours sincerely
Peter Fletcher

seems well out of order, I didn't take anything and I was not charged with any offence and I don't see how it's anything to do with city.

The nearest I've got is saying "Those aren't the droids you're looking for" in a voice that sounds a bit like Alec Guiness.
