after the PATHETIC thread on here regarding the bus getting arrested at sunderland the club have kindly sent us all letters this morning stating we are banned.. for me personally city are my life i am 22 and have had season ticket from being 5, i go home and away and have nearly 7000 points.. i did not steal anything from the shop.. Now for the people who commented on that thread without any knowledge on the matter, do you think you helped this blue and the other 32 who were released without charge but who are looking at being banned from there beloved city?? even the people who did take stuff are not 'SCUM' as described on here we tried to pay our way and the shop owner (who could hardly even speak our language) refused to serve us for absolutely no reason whatsoever.. thanks very much BLUE'S. you will not find a bus load of more dedicated city fans and i can promise you it will be a lot quieter without us MCFC OK
man up, you girl.

no, football related crimes only get you banned, its the baning before charged thats getting peoples backs up
but its not football related. Yes they were on the way home from a game but where do you draw the line then, if they were back in manchester and got into a fight that night, would that have been football related?
Exactly, fuck all to do with M.C.F.C or anyone round here

Who paid for the bus? Surely if City paid for it in some fashion then they have the right to punish people regardless of their legal guilt or innocence. Lesson here is, don't act like a dickhead in public, simple as.

If you check out banning orders, it is considered a "football related" offence if it is with 24 hours prior to or after the game, 5 days if going abroad!!!!

It states in Football Spectators Act 1989

- any offence under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 (harassment, alarm or distress) or any provision of Part III of that Act (racial hatred) committed while the accused was on a journey to or from a football match.....
can lead to a banning order.

Club willl probably use something along those lines with anyone who got the fine/ found guilty, may not be clubs choice though, they may have been instructed by the police as it made national press???

Quite frankly all of you deserve to be punished. It's disgusting and it's one of the things I hate about football. Who would think, worlds richest club, class owners, amazing players, sublime club and facilities yet we still have arseholes like this as fans

People may have contacted the club to express their opinions on the matter. I don't believe the club have someone looking at the drivel that us idiots write on here.
Unfortunately if someone "refuses to serve you" and you take it without paying then you have to face the consequences. I by the way didn't comment in a negative way on initial thread as I believe it was a big deal about nothing.
I do doubt that everyone on the coach has been banned though. I would think you were more involved than that. Am I wrong?
The club use a company that trawls the forums to see what the fans are thinking on an ongoing basis.

If thats the case then City can probably ban another 5000+ who have in some way contributed to making negative remarks about the club !!

Stop drinking

If you're caught shoplifting then you have to pay the price, and you can't really defend those responsible. However, that should really be a police issue and not for the club to decide, certainly not before they've been charged and convicted. If true, and I can't believe it is, then it's unacceptable if the club have banned everyone on the coach.
