Seriously, what the fuck is going on?

I just spent a full day with two of the lads on THAT coach during which we discussed all things City, tactics, past games, future games and the merits of our players.

At no point did they steal anything from me, people around me, or cause any trouble.

I was taken by surprise to be honest. Them being the "Scum of Manchester" and all.

"City, City, Ra Ra Raaaaah..."

If its the one im thinking of, dont think you will meet a bigger blue family than them, him and his uncle have missed something like 3 games between them in 8 years and one was for the same game.

Don't believe that for a minute. If they do that is a complete waste of money. What would they gain? the drunken ramblings and idiotic views of people with too much time on their hands? I'm sure the club were interested in our views in the recent "who would you kill" thread. I wonder if we can get an official line from them on the name of bread based container best used for holding chips?

believe me it happens mate.....the club are of the opinion they have a direct FREE line of contact and feedback from the average city fan with this forum and that is straight from the horses mouth (so to speak)

Whilst I'm in no doubt people at the club may look on here, I can't see them being influenced by it. Firstly, opinions on here are mainly split so whose "side" would they take..? and secondly, I doubt that this forum speaks for any more than 5% of the 45,000.
For example, if they want to conduct surveys they email season/city card holders.

M27 Im just pointing out the irony of the OP's post. He actually says he was on the coach and there was stuff stolen, but then says it was ok because a non English speaking shop owner said he would'nt serve em.

Personally i just do'nt like thieves.

I'm not keen to be fair.

However, I'm not keen on lads cheating on their wives, but I've seen my fair share of that on stag dos and the like.

Lads do daft shit and when they get caught it will make them think twice in future. Why twist the knife with a ban? Utter joke.

You are correct that lads do daft shit but it's not the getting caught that makes them think twice about doing it in future, it's the punishment. A ban (however short) is perhaps more likely to deter them from repeating their actions than a minimal fine from the court system.

Having said that it would be extremely unfair for a ban/suspension to be applied to anybody not directly involved in the crime.

20 pages and no-one has posted a photograph of the said letter... I call shenanigans.

The biggest mountain out of a molehill I've ever heard of.

"Our own fans are disgusted by it". Maybe a few conservative minded bores on this forum, but I bet there are thousands of respectable City fans who don't really care. It sounds to me like the shopkeeper was being an unreasonable prick, the police were typically over the top and now the club are being exactly the same. Banning loyal fans over something so pathetic which was away from the stadium is just way over the top. I don't want City to turn into a respectable middle class only supported club where you get banned for having over two units of alcohol inside you, but I have serious fears that it is going to go this way in the coming years.

The only unreasonable pricks here are the people stealing and condoning stealing.

As for class, the vast majority of decent working class people are not in favour of theft either. My family are working class and they have stolen anything or wished to.
To suggest the club is turning against working class for banning thieves is brilliant, just brilliant.
