Seriously, what the fuck is going on?

I just spent a full day with two of the lads on THAT coach during which we discussed all things City, tactics, past games, future games and the merits of our players.

At no point did they steal anything from me, people around me, or cause any trouble.

I was taken by surprise to be honest. Them being the "Scum of Manchester" and all.

"City, City, Ra Ra Raaaaah..."
i hate to break it to you mate but i snaffled a wine gum that the young girl who was sat next to us was stupid enough to leave lying about!!! It was a green one which would'nt be my 1st choice but beggars can't be choosers!!

Scum. Sub-human scum.

By the way, delighted to see some sense being posted on this thread at last from others. My faith in humanity has been restored.

TBH, Having ploughed through the pages, I dunno where I stand on this one.

I have not posted on the original thread, or on here until now. Mainly because like 99.999% of posters, no-one was there and knew exactly what went on. However, like most, I hate thieves and I worry about those that condone it, (whilst prefixing the statements with, 'I don't condone theiving..but'). IMO the club could argue that THE ACTUAL THIEVES, not the whole bus, have brought the club into disrepute and ban those who actually perpetrated the crime.

BUT...... Put it up against the cup semi final versus The Scum at Eatlands. I for one got a golf ball thrown at my head (which like most head injuries, looked fantastic, lots of blood etc but was actually fuck all), still wasted a few hours in A&E checking for concussion. Anyone was fair game that night with football violence that hasn't been seen since flares where in fashion. How many bannings have Salford Disney Red Sox imposed on their fans after that largely unreported incident from the scum loving press?

If you were not charged with anything, then Peter Fletcher has no legal right to do anything. He shouldnt have the right to see confidential legal info from the police, in my opinion, if no crime (related to a City match or not)was commited. He acts and thinks as though he is judge and jury....which he clearly is not. What next...will the police send him information for domestic situations if your a City card holder so he can judge wether your fit to enter a football ground....what about if you have a passed record for apple scrumping...can he delve into that. where does this jumped up idiots jurisdiction start and end? My understanding... a letter to the prick suggesting legal action usually works and you will be re instated quickly. The other option is email Garry Cooke with a letter and you will get an instant response from that supporters experience bloke.
Fletcher is an egomaniac, more concerned with making rash judgements based on his personal feelings...not the facts. If you write to the prick about a real supporters safety issue you'll probably get no response at all. If some one farts on the match bus he'll spend his days issuing suspensions and awaiting the begging letter that he so craves and gets off on.
His objective is to sanitise the fuck out of the match day experience and fill himself with self impportance.....not look at genuine supporter security issues..ie letting united fans out at the same time as City last season.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Are we all going to get CRB checked when we apply for next season's season cards now?

what the hell is really going on here?

I fail to see if the OP has as he claims, been sent such a letter, which I'm not sure has been proven at this stage, but lets say we accept as being correct, why on earth he would want to post on here, claiming to be the victim of some 'crime by association' case, and crying for sympathy and attention.

Ranting and bawling in my experience often shows the type of person involved, and without going on too much about this element, I would have, if asked by such a person, for advice, suggested a quiet and humble approach to our great Club, where I would endeavoured to evoke some feeling of sympathy for oneself or others finding themselves in such an unfortunate situation. This I feel would have been the best approach if reinstatement is what the individual really wants.

On another note, having been in similar scenarios myself, with regard to fellow fans behaviour, and felt a little guilty by association, people should understand that the laws of this land do not absolve a member of a group from any responsibilty, if they when required by the police or other officials, fail to assist with information regarding the specific guilty parties and/or are obstructive whilst such information is being sought.

I must be honest, whenever I have travelled with similar groups, on coaches and trains, the testosterone is often flowing along with a very outwardly hostile manner and approach whenever police or stewards try to spoil ones fun.
I would, though not there, expect a very high likelyhood, that the so called innocents in this matter did not exactly do themselves or the shopkeeper any favours in the likely dissrespectfull and obstructive behaviour I would imagine was shown by our fans.

If you see a guy steal property and feel comfortable with it, do nothing to help prevent the crime or stop him getting away with it, then cause hundreds of hours of police time to be wasted trying to resolve the issue, culminating in them having to arrest all the 32 suspects, then don't brag about being completely innocent, purely down to you not being the actual thief, or one of the people charged, the two do not automatically follow.

Numerous individuals of the 32 involved may not have been charged, but this itself, if the truth were known, does not actually prove their innocence, and would be far more likely down to a C.P.S. decision to refuse to take a case forward without absolute proof, which understandably would be something quite difficult to achieve in such circumstances.

There is a freedom of information act where certain bodies and authorities can pass on accurate information/intelligence in an effort to make all the decent and law abiding citizens experience at such events pleasurable, safe and secure. I am not an expert in relation to this but doubt either the Club or the Police will have acted unlawfully. If they have, then don't bleat about it on here, but speak to a solicitor and take them to task.

Without getting into the rights and wrongs of what is probably an imaginary letter, I would have thought the club has every legal right to withhold a season ticket for whatever reason they want to.

When it comes down to it, the season ticket is the property of the club, that is made clear on the back.

Oh the irony

Can't be arsed reading 23 pages, so has the OP been sussed out to be a billy bull-shitter? Has anyone else confirmed they have received letters? I can't think of a company who would hand out blanket bans for an offence they KNOW only applies to 4 people. I think the OP may be after some attention/never attended a match in his life and thought he'd stick his 2 pennies worth in/just plain deluded.
As for those who did steal things, a ban is harsh but I bet no-one will think of doing it again. Like I said in the original thread, i'm baffled as to why they couldn't just pay for what they wanted. Like now, i've just done a nice roast beef dinner and am enjoying some nice wine with it. It cost me, in total, £25. I could have just walked out of Asda with the various ingredients it has taken to cook such a fine meal, but that would just be stupid, wouldn't it? Thieves - lowest of the low no matter what.

after the PATHETIC thread on here regarding the bus getting arrested at sunderland the club have kindly sent us all letters this morning stating we are banned.. for me personally city are my life i am 22 and have had season ticket from being 5, i go home and away and have nearly 7000 points.. i did not steal anything from the shop.. Now for the people who commented on that thread without any knowledge on the matter, do you think you helped this blue and the other 32 who were released without charge but who are looking at being banned from there beloved city?? even the people who did take stuff are not 'SCUM' as described on here we tried to pay our way and the shop owner (who could hardly even speak our language) refused to serve us for absolutely no reason whatsoever.. thanks very much BLUE'S. you will not find a bus load of more dedicated city fans and i can promise you it will be a lot quieter without us MCFC OK

Are you still sticking to your story,or are you going to send us a scan of the said letter sent to you all ?
I`ve agreed that nothing shoud happen, but you appear to be making a "rod for your own back" with NOT responding for nearly 24 hours !
