I know its a draw but....

That was a game Mancini himself felt he could not afford to lose. United marginally the better team but we are not a million miles away and are still a young team in terms of time spent together, we will get better and we will win trophies under Mancini.

The thing that annoys me is that they were there for the taking. The performance was lacklustre, negative and lacked any kind of passion. A bit of forward thinking and we'd have battered them tonight. These tactics work against Chelsea but they never do against United.

All that build up and we give a performance like that... Just feel a bit deflated at the moment, if we had given it a proper good go and still got a draw then I'd at least be happy with the effort put in. Just wish we'd start going at these big games properly, Ok I'm happy we didn't get beat but these types of games are often a poor spectacle.

i said the same thing before

if we do a chelsea we would fail - mancini is tactically inept, it's glaring to see

bring back sven, i'm being serious.

I agree but if we had " Gone for it" would we have got a point?

When we go to the swamp next time the pressure is really on them and we gained a point over last season and the shite dropped two...not perfect but IMO a work in progress our target is 4th....not 5th and whilst I want us to win it all I feel better now than a lst minute winner to that GINGA CNUT!

I am neutral and i will say how i saw it. The first half was very even but Utd were a lot better 2nd half and their close passing (especialy in the final 3rd) was far better than City tonight. Look on any neutral forum like Spurs or Newcastle or something and i bet they saw it the same way.

I would imagine the Newcastle fans were watching their own team tonight. Jesus wept......they barely had a shot 2nd half you freak.
Thats testement to how good City are at defending but there only looked like one team going to win the game in the 2nd half, christ most of the people on here were saying the same thing in the match thread.

Have to agree - happy with a point the way the game went. We were negative which is disappointing, but a draw keeps the media off RM's back which has to be a good thing for us.

Balotelli will make a difference to us, but with the players in that team tonight RM needs to get us on the front foot more often.

the only attacking players on the pitch tonight were silva and tevez (before johnson came on)

you think that's acceptable?

i wouldn't accept that away from home

oh, i don't count milner, he's no johnson.

It's as much about how we play as who plays, and that team tonight are capable of playing much more expansively - the fact that we didn't is down to the coaches/RM.

And don't agree about the attacking players - Milner is a threat (look at his record at Villa) and Yaya (who was shite tonight) can be effective as he was on Sunday.

I really think Adebayor wasn't fit to play, hence he didn't come on until 93 minutes. If that's the case, what is Mancini going to do, play Jo (wait, isn't he Derby tied) up front? I'm frustrated because I thought they were beatable tonight, but realistically, we don't have a ton of attacking options, and Mancini isn't left with a ton of alternatives. I think missing Mario really hurt, as he would have given the scum fits and absolutely ate Rafael's lunch. All in all, the scum were solid at the back, and we really didn't have anyone left to throw at them.

Of course, if Ade was fine, ignore everything I just said, he should have been on earlier.

What the fuck is wrong with you guys? it was UNITED? not a pub team, They know how to defend and did if pretty well tonight! they played their strongest eleven.

Wake up! if we were to play with AJ and Ade, the same ppl in here would have said the same BS after we lost!
how you can even think, that Mancini played for a draw is pathetic. look how good we have been when we played more attcking? we have lost.
