I Love Balotelli

Can anyone explain to me why so many people keep referring to Balotelli as a kid or a lad ? He's 22 in 4 months ... he's not a kid or a lad - he's a fully grown man !
He's been in a pro sports environment for over 10 years and has probably been very well paid for at least the last 6 or 7. There can be no excuse for his behaviour as he must know what is expected of him by now.

I watch City to see them play good football and win things when they can, I want to be proud of the players we have wearing our shirt.. I cannot be proud of this man and do not want him to represent my team ever again.

Because it gives his disciples the only excuse they have for him.....Its fcking ridiculous of course but they have to have something to defend him and this is it. We would still be hearing it in a few years if he stayed. He's only 25 FFS...

Despite all his faults, I still say keep him..he has undoubtedly loads of talent, and if he kept his head down and played the game like its supposed to be played, he can be a major force to reckon with..his contributions in the FA Cup matches last season and the 6-1 win shows that he can - if he wants to.. hell, if Rooney can be a star for his team, why not Balotelli?
i'm not a supporter of Balotelli and i'm as frustrated by his antics as everyone else, but I do see that he is also a victim of media propaganda. Whatever he does is overhyped..and whether he likes that or not, it is affecting his game..
You people do realize there is referee inconsistency and lots of exaggeration from opposition players when it come to Balotelli. Similar fouls by Arsenal players were ignored by the ref and for a guy who kept rolling around for a while as if he had been shot, Sagna(and Song) was quickly up on his feet a moment later...they are always looking to send him off.. the Arsenal match may not be the best one to highlight this, but there have many instances previously where he was booked just because he was Balotelli..
stop blindly believing every single thing from the media..

Unfortunately Balotelli does not help himself as he is lazy in his tackles, and is late most of the time..he himself adds to this lunacy..
Unless he decides to wise up, work hard on his game, and figure out how to avoid late tackles, he will be finished at City. Yes, he does need a mentor to guide him, but it looks like Mancini is not that man. Viera?

Everyone keeps harping on about talent, but I've not seen anything that special that makes him stand out from other young strikers over the years. Owen, Rooney, Fowler, etc...were all better at the same age.

Yes, it seems like it's always him these days. Mario Balotelli's apology via his agent for his appalling behaviour at Arsenal offers a fresh chance for another bite at the story today.

with PR support like that from his own club who needs an agent?

I've given Balotelli as much flak as anyone over the last 36 hours, but that right there is a disgrace from the club's official site, a proper full-on no-holds-barred disgrace.

If you've not seen anything that makes him special then you must have missed a game in trafford this season where we beat a team 6-1. Derby day at one of the toughest places to go and that 21 year old boy was the difference. You might also want to compare his goal scoring record to other strikers of his age.

The players you mention there were also top players at 21 - different players mature at different times. Mario really isn't far from being a top player either, all he needs to do is grow up and focus because talent wise he's got the lot

Sorry, but not even the club can defend the indefensible....player or not. It's not as if it's an isolated incident. It's been time and time again since he joined the club. Even the other players are starting to get pissed off with it all.

To those saying Balotelli could be the best in the world. I'll give you one fact, Leo Messi is 24.He is 2-4 years from his peak, and already he is in another plane of existence to Balotelli. Not the say that Balotelli is not very good, he is, but get some perspective please.

The irony of Peter Ferguson saying it 'offers a fresh chance for another bite at the story today' is not lost on me as his ill-thought-out words have just provided the gutter press with yet another stick to beat us with.

How long until we see a "City Website Slams Balotelli's 'Appalling Behaviour'" headline? It's just rank amateurish public relations. I'm actually astonished it got cleared for publication.

Just clicked the link and they've dropped the word "appalling" thank fuck.

Reading the rest of the article, I can only assume Peter Ferguson was doing it to have a pop back at the media but it was very poorly thought out.
