I miss Robinho

Cant wait for him to get back. We would have dicked West Ham 5 or 6-1 last night with him. Hes our star player and the clubs icon. The only player who can come up with a moment of sheer brilliance to change the game.

Eh? You mean Bellamy's goals against the rags weren't sheer brilliance? Or some of the movement shown and vision shown by Tevez last night?

I'm a huge Robinho fan, don't get me wrong. But fuck me, this isn't Pro Ev or FM2010 we're talking about. It's real live football. Robinho had plenty of bad days last season. He is a fantastic talent and wonderful footballer, but our squad is now full of players like that. It's important that the squad has harmony and that all players realize that they get into the team on merit. Not on reputation...

It's when players are getting into the team even though there is a player in much better form on the bench that you start seeing a lack or harmony on the field and in the dressing room...

Just because Bellamy is doing very good people have the need to slag Robinho off. Praise all of the players, get some more positivity feeding around the place!!!
Robinho and Bellamy are class acts, end of story.

Robinho is no hero of mine, he is a superb footballer who can win you a football match, i don't expect him to set a few and score a few EACH game as most fans do but i appriciate what he does for the team and you ask any neutral fan not caught up in the bullshit going around City fans at the minute that Robinho is not needed because we have Bellamy and Petrov and they will simply piss themseleves and not at your naivety but at your stupidity.

I am currently pissing myself at your naivety and stupidity to be quite honest.

Once again, you have been totally unable to justify your "Robinho should be the first name on the team sheet" comment - and are simply wriggling around trying to somehow make a point. Which you're failing to do...

BTW...I suppose you'd have to take your Paul Scholes posters down before you could put a Robinho one up...;- )

Nobody should be labelled as first name on the teamsheet, not even De Jong who's in super form. Everyone's place is not guaranteed and that is beauty of football at City right now. We have a squad full of players fighting to keep their place, seeing some individual brilliance in the process.

Robinho is important to the next 3 to 4 years of progression at city, still 25 will be class in champs league for us.
bellamy cant play 3 games a week, petrov 30 year old winger.both likely to miss games through injury.

I miss robinho just because when he's on form he's a joy to watch. anyone who says they dont enjoy watching robinho doing his tricks and flicks scoring special goals and just nut megging people because he can is a liar

And once again you patronise people and give the impression of yourself that you have superior knowledge of football to get your point across.

My point still stands, a fit Robinho that is available is the first name on the team sheet, whether you like it or not, thats not because he is my idol or my hero but because he is a superb footballer that makes whatever team is is playing in unbelievably strong. Just a shame that Bellamy and Petrov having a few good games has clouded your judgement but then again you do jump the gun and don't think before you type ALOT so it would be no suprise to see you dissmissing Ireland once the new colin bell makes a few good passes in the next game and then what? Sylvinho over Bridge? Santa Cruz over Adebayor? PMSL.

A few games ago I would have said that Robinho would easily get straight back into the side, but now Im not so sure. There's no doubting Robinho is technically better than anyone on the left, but for me he's not consistent enough. I'd rather have Bellamy grafting down the left side for now.

One thing's for sure....when Robinho gets back from injury he'll have to put in a decent shift if he wants to keep that position.

Robinho has previously never had to work hard to retain his place in the side, so it can only be good that he now has to step up his game.

Actually yeah. Most decent managers pick people based on form not just because of their 'name' or reputation. For me whoever is in better form gets in the side, simple. If that means that Sylvinho plays instead of Bridge or Santa Cruz instead of Adebayor then fine providing they are proving themselves on the pitch.

????????????????????

I'm as bewildered as you Happy Feet. What a great way to build a successful team, your 'star' man plays whatever. What winds me up is that IF Robi had been putting in the performances Bellamy has everyone would be hailing him as better than Ronaldo.

How can he be the first name on the team sheet when no-one is really sure of his best postion yet??
What's ironic is Bellamy has put in a few good performances and people are hailing him as better than Robinho...
