I never wanted to say this but.....

It's complete garbage to say we haven't got a strong squad, when he kicked off with a few wins be it games you would expect us to win he was the messiah that was getting the best out of a shit hot squad.
Now the honeymoons over & he's boring everyone shitless, the players are pissed off about the training & he's making himself look a twat on tv all of a sudden the squads not strong enough & we should be patient.
If he's that good a manager he will see the light & change the way we are playing & everybody will be happy, may that day come soon.

Most people seem to forget how bad our defence was and he took over with so many injured and got instant results with youngsters and Garrido and Syvinnio. The pattern of play is more or less the same used by Jose so whats the differnce ....if Roberto bought his own squad who could play in the italian way our goal difference would be inline with C helsea and United.
He has also been without Tevez which is a nightmare and Addie looks like a fish out of water...it makes Shawn and Johnsons role so much harder.
The answer is a real clear out in the summer..Taylor..Zab...Bridge( maybe ) Toure..Ireland..Richards ( maybe)..Bellamy ( knees /age) ..Addie..Shawn.Santa Cruz...all of whom are under top class world level and might raise 100 million to fund Maicon ..Lahmn world class full backs...at say 35 million. Then a real class CB x 2 plus 2 midfield goal scorers to support 2 class strikers linking with Tevez. There might not be alot of change out of 250 million but we would see titles /cups and leave the reds behind.

Posted in another thread, BUT it's worth reviewing the actual stats of the the last 9 league games under Hughes v first 9 league games under Mancini.

Mgr - goals conceded / goals scored / points

MH - 18 / 17 / 12

RM - 6 / 15 / 17.

Thems are the figures!

Mourinho was a good manager and a funny guy but the style of play Chelsea had was tighter than Mancini is playing. Chelsea were like the boring, boring Arsenal that used to draw 0-0 or win 1-0 ages back but Mourinho had a smile.

Mancini has tightened up defence and build up attacking force from there. Bobby Manc knows what he is doing. The team sheet yesterday showed his intent with 2 wingers and giving Ireland the roles he claims to play well in. Had Tevez been fit I think we would have had 4-4-2 with Tevez in for Ireland. The team was set up well. Ireland again p*ss*d his chance up the wall.

If the players start skinning the opposition Mancini wouldn't be complaining. He'd be 1 of the first to applaud his team. He wants a team that can defend and attack. The most successful teams have done this and do this. Everytime I hear Mancini he says we aren't doing enough as an attacking force - that isn't the noises of a purely defence minded manager.

I said top 6 was alright start of season and am sticking to it. This is the best we've done in the league for years and another move in right direction. Top 4 there for the taking and I think we should be aiming for 3rd!

Keep going Bobby Manc. You've only just come in and there are plenty of us wanting you to make this success and plenty of us that understand it takes time for a team to understand your system and for you to get a couple of players to support that system.

Our owners don't sell first and then buy?!? We don't have the same level of debt as the dirty rags and have some very supportive and wealthy owners. Tick, tock.

You buy quality players, if they work over time then you can off load some of your best players. That's what a club with money can afford.

Most fo the players you mention shouldn't be going anywhere, they stay with us now and we stay with them.

I hate rags. What about you?

Tevez welcome to Manchester, Vidic to follow.

If the players you mention need to leave City then United need to clear out nearly everyone.

Absolute rubbish. And even if it was, it won him two succesive league titles by a margin of 8 and 12 points and they were top scorers for the second one. I'd live with that.

And you want rid of Mancini even though he is providing successful results with another mans team? That my friend is absolute rubbish.

Mourinho would of course win league titles here but not with this squad, he would need time to build a squad just like Mancini does.

and isn't it funny that Mourinho won the Italian league with the squad Mancini built?

I wouldn't say it's hilarious, no.

I don't think its true Inter would want Mancini over Mourinho, they are sat top of Serie A, are about to face probably their hardest match in Chelsea in the CL. I don't get the problem they would have with that.. The style of football is irrelevant when you are that close to success.

The thing is he didn't add anything to our team (mourinho that is). He's been here for a year and a half allready and the team had similar results as mancini's team did (domestically). But mancini's team played the better football. With mancini we used to top our champions league group stage "with ease". We finnished twice at top of our group (with one round left to play each time). We were extremely unlucky against liverpool when we played them and we were pretty close to beat them in mancini's final year with us.

With mourinho we really really looked bad in europe, we barely finnished 2nd in our group stage the first year with him and the same thing happened this season too. Last year we looked extremely poor against United in the second round and barely created anything in that game. This season we looked pretty bad against barca too. Thats the point here.

With mourinho in "two seasons" the club have spent (135 million euros) and there is no improvement at all IMO. With mancini the club have spent 100 million euros in "three seasons" yet he transformed the whole team into a really good squad. Majority of Mancini's buy's were a big hits afterwards. Ibrahimovic, maicon, julio cesar, cambiasso, Chivu and even maxwell who is right now a barca player. Most of them were signed for pretty cheap fee (with the exception of Ibra and Chivu).

We will see how the team will look against chelsea but so far am not impressed at all from he's work.

I just find it funny, and it shows how football and opinions differ from one country to another, when it seems most City fans would take Mourinho over Mancini any day, yet Inter fans would like Mancini back instead of Mourinho.

thats right.

i think if you give the option to both sets of the fans if they could do a straight swap they would.

i think the mentality plays a big part in it all because jose has that rep of being the best and everybody wishes they could have him. i think he is getting unfair stick tho at inter milan and even if he walks away from there after 2 years he will probably have 2 league titles in his back pocket

I'd stick with Mancini, come what may this season. Even if he doesn't make top 4, I'd still back him.

At the moment we're taking on too much baggage with Jose.

And as one previous poster stated... if we can't get success with him, then were do we go from there... and for that reason I'd suggest we don't put all our eggs in one basket and instead build a team over the next season.
