Before Wednesday I thought that if we win then we would go on and win the league, after the defeat, no chance, but let's just see where we finish and try and enjoy the rest if the season, we still have the derby to look forward to.

We are in a serious fight that could realistically end up with us in anywhere from 1st to nowhere such is the mediocrity of the contenders this year.

Unfortunately that is exactly what we have been in too many matches this season.

It's hard to believe this is the same team that started the season so well. After those first few weeks we looked so strong. We have seen what this group of players is capable of.

Loads of negativity on here this morning, no doubt dressed up as common sense (are some of you from Yorkshire?), but in reality a bunch of half-baked dogshit opinions. Have a look at the league table. Four points off the mighty Spurs (if we win the game in hand) who play Arsenal at the weekend, Arse in turmoil, and our upcoming fixtures against the kind of teams even the naysayers say we excell against. If Leicester keep it up they'll win it but it's a big if. We're shit at the moment but look at the league table, nothing in it. That's not unbridled optimism, just a fact.

By the benchmark of previous winners/contenders of the PL every team in the top half of the table is mediocre.
There are good reasons why we have not stamped our authority on this league, some of which are our fault some not (significant injuries, refereeing howlers) but whoever does win the League will be fortunate that others have given them the opportunity to do so.

We've not been good enough and it's an opportunity missed. League wise we should have walked it this season with the poor form of other sides. The squad needs a huge shake up and fortunately that will happen under Pep's leadership. The era has ended, on to the next. At least we've got a trophy already and look like we can progress in the CL. Top 4 is a must though, so concentration will be key until the end of the season.
