It was definitely scored at the Scoreboard End. We were in the Scoreboard Paddock and I was convinced I wasn't going to get out alive.

Most definately was a nervy end when the shite from the Stretford End came charging. In there myself, as I was against em when Micky Doyle and Franny toar them to pieces.
Funnily enough it was great to see the ITV clip of the game on here a couple of weeks ago, along with the Police Horses knocking a few of the fuckers over.
Ah,happy days.

I was there. Definately the scoreboard end where Denis scored probably the most memorable goal of his career! Fortunately I was in the seats in the main stand very close to the Stretford end. It was mayhem after the game and for any City fan in the scoreboard end it must have been surreal. Both exhilerating for relegating United and frightening for the potential violence to come. For me I walked back into town no problem apart from being propositioned by a prostitute in Moss side!

Is she now Mrs Palerider ??

No, no, no! I was a very young 14yr old and she was a very, very large woman. I was clever enough to know that she would have killed me!

She`d have taught you a thing or two though. ;)

I went on my own got the 92 53 busses. At the end a lot of City fans had left early. When Denis Law scored I jumped in the air then realised I ws surrounded by United fans. I Just ran, didn't know where I was going. I got home to Hazel Grove unscathed luckily. One of the great days of my life

no I missed that one, I was at York twice though, I knew it was going to be such a great iconic day so I left at H/T and then paid back in!!

I was 13 at the time and went with my Dad,he said to me after the game you must remember this game for the rest of your life. When we get beat or not playing well just bring this game back into your thought and it will remind you why you follow this football club.Sadly he no longer with us but when we beat them at home this year and win the league i for one will not be ashamed to shed a tear for all those who followed through the wilderness years and are no longer with us,it is them that have made the club what it is today.

Yes i know De niro compassion - well it is xmas

Merry Xmas to all Blues wherever you may be.

Regards

Peely
