I worry about Kolarov

He's better than Boateng, though.

At least Kolarov provides us with more of an assessment in terms of what he does, or doesn't bring to the team.

Boateng gives neither.

So effectively you are saying Boateng doesn't really exist?

Ha ha - that's a perfect assessment.

He so doesn't exist, that when he goes to bed at night, he's not really in his bed!

He's the perfect City player then....as none of us are "really here" either....:- )

I like kolarov.Really.He is just trying to do best, and sometimes makes mistakes but he is not selfish player at all.He ll improve over time,im sure.

They say full back is one of the more difficult positions to adjust to when you've come in to the Premiership from another league. Boateng and Kolarov are both struggling in comparison to Silva or Yaya Toure so that's no coincidence.

I'm still optimistic enough with Kolarov to keep him at the left back slot (especially ahead of Lescott) - but there's better options at right back than Boateng. Several of them.

He is supposed to have a pretty good pace. He has 16 out of 20 in pace in FM11. :D I know it sounds stupid that im talking about fm :P (dont call me stupid because of mentioning this).. but the fm makers have made a mistake or then his injury in the beginning of the season has taken some of his pace.

But yeh...there are not many good left backs out there for sale. Coentrao is the only one i know we could get...

I wud by Gibbs from arsenal

Contrao would struggle in the prem he is very light weight. I would have Gibbs all day long but as Wenger is already 100% sure he will be better than Cole i dont think he would be for sale at any price

as madrid will probably go for coentrao in summer..there is a chance to get marcelo..coentrao is quality defender, but not actually the class city needs..i dont understand them or their transfer policy, wanting to get rid of marcelo..guy has it all..speed, pace, crossin the area, solid defence....kolarov is nowhere near his quality...besides marcelo has got great shot from distance, the only kolarov advatage i noticed..once again, kolarov is not solution for city

i think he was bought as a multi-postion player, than a left back really. Like a PabZab but for the left side as he can play LB, CM, LM. Much better shot than PabZab.

But remember he did have an injury start of the season and has played alot recently with Johnson out injured.

But yeah i still think we need a Coentrao or Baines type of left back. Someone who knows how to defend first, but are dangerous bombing up the touchline.

I'd have him before Kolarov any day of the week

It was obvious that Kolarov tried to do Van Persie's goal (against Barca).

Note to Kolarov:

YOU ARE NOT ROBIN VAN PERSIE!

He's had a dip in form, that's it. Talk about a mountain out of a molehill.
