Was disappointed to read this yesterday.
Seen Shed Seven more times than any other band, and I've spoken to Alan on a few occasions over the years, always thought he was a sound guy.
From some of the comments on social media in reaction to it, it transpires he might have been a bit ''Ian Brown'' on Twitter about Covid, so I'm going down that rabbit hole now.

Recreational drug use has its consequences. We’re seeing this with Brown and Leach. Their brains no longer work.

New album out? They could do with some publicity....cos their tunes won't help em
 
Why do I get the feeling that it's either do you know who I am? syndrome or all about £££, any restrictions mean less tickets sold in their eyes.

The list of artists dropping off my downloaded YouTube playlists is growing almost daily.

Nothing on gods Earth more annoying or frustrating than conspiracy theorists.
Anti vaxxers in my opinion are antisocial fuckwits...for some reason they don't want to see an end to this covid nightmare.

It’s nothing to do with tickets sold they’re all losing decent money to make their stand. You and the majority will disagree but it’s silly to try and claim it’s some sort of publicity stunt by any of them.

The best part is many start their anti vax rant with “I’m not an anti vaxxer but……” no you are anti it and for stupid reasons. Same as the people who found it really hard to wear a bastard mask if it helped or not. All fannys scared of being told what to do, real inferiority complex.

I stopped reading at the bit about he sees the public being split into 3 groups. I expect the rest was bollocks.

I know Alan fairly well and like you was surprised to see him going down that particular rabbit hole. Asked a mate who knows him very well about it today and his response was 'he's always been a bit like that Alan'.
Flat Earther as well by the sounds of it.
 
Shame that people with fuck all knowledge about things have so much influence really.

Someone I know replied with "The Covid vaccine"

Massive Roses fan who has pretty much wanted to be Ian Brown since the 90s. I swear down if Ian Brown had the opposite view, the lad I know would have had 64 jabs by now.
 
Lovely message from Alan that. The most fearful of the three categories he's decided we all fit into is the one that is created to create the divide. So he's decided to add to that group. Clever chap.

He wears the devil in his shoes lately.
