Ian McGarry: "Mario's a genius"....

Claridge and Barnes, both talentless overrated has-beens. Then even sour old Motty had to dive in and join the Cuntona/Rag worshippers. Mario, the bad boy - what's he done - shagged his sister-in -law? kung fu kicked a spectator? deliberately maimed another player? counterfeited cash? beat up his wife/girlfriend? No, he's got a few parking tickets and let some fireworks off.

They really can't cope with the status quo being threatened. To think our licence money is paying for this sort of shit. We'll respond on the field. They can talk all they like, it won't change a thing.

Steve Claridge is a cock.

And John Barnes is no better.

Based on that, it's no wonder he couldn't cut it as a manager.

Knob!
Correct, why should we take any notice of failed managers, if they were any good they would be a manageing a football club, not spending Monday nights on the radio.

Mario's first goal at the swamp 23/10/11 is very under-rated, IMHO.

There are very few players who would have scored that goal from that position.
that was a piece of genius

Even Cantona couldn't of scored that goal, that was pure genius by Mario, I agree with the panel about not comparing Mario to Eric but for different reasons, Mario is 21 years old, when Eric was 21 he was a hot potato and no1 wanted him, "the baggage wasn't worth it". Couldn't get in his national team, because "the baggage wasn't worth it". Mario plays for Italy and City and he is wanted despite the baggage, and is learning to play for the team. Cantona retired at 28/9, if Mario was to give up the game at 26 he would have achieved more! IMO

Well said collie, Mario's still a kid really and is Italy's big hope for the future.

Every possible aspect from the media , match reports, commentary, pundits have an agenda , they love manure because they have a billion fans , anything negative about city is , their main rivals , is treated like gold dust.
The more trophies we win , the worse it will get , but the likes of claridge, barnes, green, gough etc are now becoming a source of amusement.

On a positive spin, if we keep winning things these dinosaurs will eventually be phased out, replaced wit City repersentatives such as Uwe and Lakey, maybe even the goat.

It shouldn't take long, hopefully.

He probably has the 2nd most amount of medals on our team after Yaya. That's incredible at the age of 21.

Steve Claridge, meanwhile, has won the Second Division, League Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Ha Brilliant !!!

glad someone shares my view on that goal.

its the way he leaves keepers no chance at all with his shots...how often has he left keepers rooted to the spot..ie looking helpless, because there is nothing at all they can do to stop the ball.

the overhead kick v villa left Given and a defender just watching the ball sail into the net.neither player moved.
the well crafted push kick with his left foot into the bottom corner against brum in the league cup.
the well crafted push kick with his right foot into the bottom corner against everton in the next match.

the villa keeper last season who just sat down in a heap as the two penalties went past him. nowt he could do to even get near them.

fantastic talent.

And he's good at darts!!!!
