"No eggs, no omelette. And it depends on the quality of the eggs.
"In the supermarket, you have eggs class one, class two, class three. Some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there you have a problem."

Who do you suggest we poach.....?

maybe mancini wont had changed IF was given a ready world class center back during summer

Change the record - Mancini got what he was given and now he must deliver with the resources he has just as he did last season. A world class manager would go out and win the league again this season with the squad Mancini has got and progress through our group in the CL.

And more importantly we won the league last season with the best defensive record in the league. Makes your argument almost totally invalid.

Mourinho was unemployed within two weeks of giving that quote.

You don't bite the hand that feeds you, and you work with the resources your boss, the guy paying you that fat salary so you can keep yachts in Sardinia, gives you. You don't go running your mouth off about how hard it is to do your job when you're one of the most heavily backed managers ever in financial terms.

I think you've forgotten how ignominious Mancini's exit from Inter was. Ultimately if you try and fight the powers that be as a football manager, the powers that be will win. Here, the Clash can maybe reinforce the point too.

EDIT:

And a secondary note on that season - Mourinho was sacked and yet Chelsea got to the CL final, the League Cup final, and finished three points behind United, and were level with them on points going into the last two games of the season.

I have to say I completely agree with this and sooner or later we are going we are in for a tonking if we carry on the way that we are. It's time to take stock and start grinding out results again. Right now we are harking back to that dreadful Hughes era when every time we took the lead your arse was twitching because you knew the equaliser was coming.

Hope it's not the derby against the rags...

Give me those 1-0's with Hart getting frostbite anytime.

I don't care much for the score as long as we win and my stomach churns less.

Ever since Southampton's equaliser I have a bad feeling when we go 1-0 up.

5 home games on the spin ( including QPR last season ) where we take the lead and can't keep it isn't what we expect from City now.

Last season I could watch the screen and keep up to date with the other matches at the same time when we took the lead.

Ye it's like when Hughes was in charge. You just knew the other team was going to score.
It's not a good feeling for the heart every time the opposition comes at us.

mourinho was sacked doesnt means he wasnt right , in fact he was.

regard mancini "ignominous" exit from inter it was really ignominous , but not for mancini. it was ignominous for inter and moratti.

they both were sacked and now , surprise surprise , they are the two most payed world football's managers , what a surprise.

Mourinho was sacked because Roman was an idiot, and Abramovich paid and continues to pay the price for it.

I made this point after the Arsenal game, also the fact he took off Dzeko and it brought Arsenal back into the game as everyone said.

I'm sorry but I'm asking questions of Mancini once again. This 3-5-2 formation he has a massive obsession with. IT IS NOT WORKING. We haven't played well at all this season. Tonight has been on the cards, it's been coming. Hopefully this is a kick up the arse. Tonight is what Sunday could and probably should have been, he's tinkering with the squad and once again making bizarre substitutions and tactical errors.

If it's not broke, don't fix it. Were going backwards as we play each game, tonight was dreadful and probably the worse game under Mancini.

how dare you question our management.

ten years ago we were losing to county.

now get your head back in the sand
