If not Mancini or Mourinho

You have to be joking. Right now, in fact for the past 20 years there has been no greater coach than Mourinho. Wenger has been good for Arsenal but to suggest that he can even compete with Mourinho is ridiculous. If Mourinho had the current Arsenal team he wouldn't have thrown a way a 4 goal lead to Newcatle and he wouldn't have lost a carling cup final to Birmingham. No denying Wenger is a good manager, in fact he has been a brilliant manager for Arsenal, but to say he is head and shoulders above Mourinho, I really am lost for words.

I'm not joking. I think there is more to judge than their win records. Wenger has shown that he can lead an entire club, develop an ethos and a style of football that adds value* to the club, and stick it out for a decade.

*sorry for the business jargon but it's shorthand for the reasons why, after 6 trophieless years, Arsenal's popularity has only increased, and why Wenger remains a hugely liked and respected figure at the club.

Didn't someone on Talkshite recently suggest Cappello's name was being banded around with City? God forbid..........NOooooooooooooo!

I would take Sven back or even Keegan, both play attractive 'attacking' football.

Lets hope Mancini gets his shit squared away and we don't have to go seeking another manager!!

KK With the team we have every game would have 10 goals and fukin entertaining WOW

No denying that he has done well but no matter how well respected he is football will only ever be judged on success which is ultimately down to silverware won.

Mourinho won back to back european titles with Porto. He has won at least one trophy every year he has been in management and has averaged around two trophies a year since he has been in management. Everwhere he has been success has followed. I'll repeat, Wenger is a good manager for Arsenal. However, if he went to Inter Milan, what do you think the chances are that he would win a european cup?

Until Wenger wins the ultimate prize in club football he can have no substantial claims to being anywhere near Mourinho.
