To do what? The title, top 4 or rebuild for the next few seasons. Can’t believe how many have thrown the towel in. Even Simon Jordan is backing Pep
The support in the stadium is still solid. Forums allow people to vent. Our fans were great yesterday. Most were just stunned at the end.The supporters are behind the players every match for the full game
The supporters are venting their anger and frustration on forums like these
You don't think for one second the players or management come on here? As soon as they're changed and back in their cars the shit result is forgotten
You'd think none but we'll never really know. How many games in this run do we lose if Rodri was playing?..
Absolutely incredible the impact he's had on and now off the pitch.
Talking a lot of sense today. Can’t believe how many have thrown the towel in. Even Simon Jordan is backing Pep
If he's got anything about him, first day back he goes and demands a massive pay increase. How many games in this run do we lose if Rodri was playing?..

Very fine post which hits the nail on the head.I think ultimately the club have got stuck in two minds. For the past four years and beyond we have had unprecedented success. The most successful English club side in history, you cannot debate facts!!
However the club have got caught up in the success and when we should have changed the squad more and mixed it up we just haven’t. Now hindsight is a wonderful thing but if we are all honest most of us would have had a problem and been unhappy over the last 4 years if we had let certain players go even if it was the right thing to do.
It’s the same with regretting letting players go. Now I personally have always thought that we should try our youth players more than we do and never wanted us to sell Palmer or Lavia but you can’t complain when you still win the league and I didn’t for one minute expect we would be languishing in 5th whilst Chelsea are second with our former coach and 4 of our youth team players in their squad.
I guess the long drawn out point I am making is that the club acted like a sentimental fan while we winning every season when we should have acted efficiently and looked to the future much better than we have done.
I must be honest to myself though I would probably have done the same because these players are legends of the club for what they have achieved. And now we are stuck in a run that 9 out of 10 teams would have sacked their manager but he is the greatest manager we have ever had and possibly ever will so now we are all confused because we want things to change but also don’t want things to change at the same time.
My head is fried

We'd still be down most of our defenders and I'm not sure if he could have done anything about that Gvardiol backpass, Nunes penalty against the rags etc.
it was the same when Fernandinho was missing but we had better midfielders in front of him, the DM is the primary cog in Pep's teams and without a good one the whole machine just stops workingHow many games in this run do we lose if Rodri was playing?..

The good thing is we've still got enough fans who go to games who can remember the real shit times. I think this run has kicked a few in the bollocks though, even with a pragmatic view that nothing lasts forever. Yesterday was a sickener and in reality was avoidable. The support in the stadium is still solid. Forums allow people to vent. Our fans were great yesterday. Most were just stunned at the end.
