If this is how the club treat loyal supporters...

I do not believe the guy was thrown out just for swearing, if he was well i agree it is out of order and the stewards concerned need at least sacking.

However what if someobody is jumping up and down, swearing and hurling abuse at our own players as has been suggested, ie "Toure your a lazy twat" etc etc.. have most of us not wished, because i know i have, that people like that should either stay at home or keep there mouths shut. If they continue don't you think they deserve to be thrown out. Im not asking for a clinical atmosphere and i really don't think the club expect that, but i hate to hear our players getting slagged off, and i know for a fact insults have been heard by the bench and they have complained about it.

I agree to certain extent! I just feel he should get a warning before chucking him out and if he continues then fair enough!

Well I NEVER swear at our players or team.

I save it for the opponents and match officials.

Exactly...and i really don't think youd get thrown out for that...

Maybe Trigger can help with this one?

I'd consider moving to 109 (around 200 onwards)/110/111 next season if all works out well. I don't see any Poznan's happening up there so must be grim.

Hand on heart, yes I have also slagged off our own players, but let him who cast the first stone ...................................... etc.

In the heat of the moment,it will bring much swearing and wanting to even throttle our own players, for whatever reason.
Not for the first time have I heard that Citys "heavy brigade" have taken things too far,but a certain name keeps appearing, who appears to be an ex heavy weight PC Plod, who belonged to the Manchester City Police Force.
If Bobby Manc and the bench are upset, about insults thrown at the way we have,or individuals have/are playing, then thick skins they need.
However I do not believe for one moment that they have complained about this !!
As payers and customers we still have the right to criticise and be vocal in our assessment of our performances, whether good, bad or indifferent.
By the same token, our fans are giving less and less harrassment to the team,as we all think that an end result can be achievable and a top four position or better can become a reality !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a bit skeptical as i can't see someone being banned and all that just over 'alleged' actions, you only get a 3 match ban for smoking which is illegal. Still though if true, extremely excessive and i think a letter to the club explaining what happened will sort it out. I still think though the stewards should of just had a word first rather then take action straight away.

Bloody hell theres a bloke i always sit in front of who does my tree in, might tell the stewards he swears all the time.

I truely find it hard to believe you have been kicked out for just swearing, sorry to hear it.

But if it is that bad why does one bloke who sits near me get away with his racist comments?

I think I will haave a word with one of these jobs worth stewards and see if they have the boottle to throw a deserving **** out!

Football coporate business is not the bread and butter of a clubs soul its us the fans and we swear, a lot, it is personally a good release for me to go and swear at the ref and oppositon.

shit, fuk, wank!

What is foul language? I used to referee local games and heard some fairly unsavoury language used. The players swearing then went to their watching wives, girlfriends, parents, children, coaches, teammates and used the exact same language. To them, they were just talking in their normal everyday manner, not particularly meaning to cause anyone any offence.

Technically I could have dismissed them for using foul and abusive language, but I felt this would have been an unfair interpretation of their intentions.

Personally, I never swear, and I do not want my children to be subjected to someone's foul-mouthed tirade during a game. And it isn't easy to ask someone who is very agitated to kerb his language, so I can understand why complaints are made.

My view is that many on this forum and at COMS need to exercise a lot more self-control before they speak or act. Comments about retribution against stewards ("sending them away in a ******* ambulance"), anti-Semitic posts referring to Spurs fans or the club as "yids", going to the toilets for a crafty cigarette, wishing death to people. None of this is acceptable, and persistent offenders should be sanctioned. It does seem a bit harsh to take such drastic action for a first offence though.

I sit behind the bench and was told a few months ago by a steward that complaints had been made regarding abuse aimed at our players, i understood him to mean that the complaint actually came from the bench, now that could be anyone Mancini, Physios the subs etc.. As it happened i had missed the previous game so i'm not sure what went on. I certainly don't have a problem with it no matter who complained, in a way i wish it was Mancini who complained, looking after his players and showing togetherness. Yes we can all get angry and hurl the odd expletive in the heat of the moment, as do the bench..(wish i could understand Italian), There is a difference though in picking on certain players and continually slagging them off, any sane supporter realises that has no benefit to the team. If Mancini or one of his backroom staff wants to put a end to that fair play to them.
