If we had safe standing would you relocate

I'd definitely be up for this. I Can't see the authorities touching it with a bargepole though. It's too much of a political hot potato because of Hillsborogh. We all know that people stand anyway and it's probably more unsafe than safe standing but the general public don't see it that way. I'm sure a lot of people attribute some of the reduction in violence at matches to all seater stadia and are petrified of going back to the 80's. Also, it's easier for the club to keep tabs on you if you're at an actual seat.
I must stress that I don't agree with the reasons I have stated.

But it's safer than it is now. Almost all away fans and most home fans noisier sections stand up all game behind/infront of plastic seats that people fall over easily. Safe Standing is much safer than that. You can't get people from the top during down/forward, you can't fall forward/back over anything...you just have a bar in from of you and a folded up seat behind you.

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't think the powers that be see it this way though.

Very much this ^^^
A lot of the issue around seating is social control. The clubs / police know exactly who is sitting where. How many times have we seen a thread on here where someone is approached at the next game and had their card taken off them after a complaint that they did something the previous game. How many fans have received letters warning them about a particular issue in certain areas?
They need to know who and where we are.... they wont let go of that luxury without a shout.
Peter Fletcher, however, is very pro safe standing.

Depends where it is. I am one of those people who likes to stand and sing but I couldnt move to the ss or south stand at the moment because the view is terrible

The way they will see it is that there isn't a problem currently, hooliganism is kept at bay pretty well too. It would take a leap of faith for the authorities to allow it and why whould they? Because we think it's more fun to stand and it will improve the atmosphere in stadia? I can't see it. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
