No idea as to the clubs official view but Peter Fletcher is for it.
I guess if the club were against it they wouldn't have introduced the 'singing area' in the knowledge that it would attract the standers.

60000 people manage to stand up in the Etihad when Take That Springstein Oasis all played there. At Oasis the barriers broke at the front after a crush and there was a gigantic pile-on, and apart from the odd bumps and bruises nobody was hurt. Football, in comparison to a big gig, is like going to a primary school Christmas show and Safe Standing is even safer than footy is currently.
