He's more of an attacking midfielder than a striker. I wasn't being serious anyway, would cost £50mil to even tempt them.

Both James Rodriguez and Jackson Martinez have been mentioned in the last two summer transfer windows and City tried for Sanchez 3 years ago. Rodriguez for Nasri and Sanchez on the right of front 3 with Vidal added to a 3 man midfield would make City unstoppable domestically. This won't happen this summer but these type of players would give City the added speed to our attack we need to conquer Europe.

If the Yaya situation can't be resolved then City should play hardball with PSG and ask for either Verrati or Matuidi in part-ex, especially if Vidal, Kroos and Pogba are out of reach.

Presumably it is PSG that want him and he has been trying to force the issue. Bearing in mind the recent transfers at United and Liverpool albeit for young but not world class players I would think 40 million for Yaya. He is the best midfielder in the world and therefore we should get a decent price for him.

Using the Vieira factor surely we can get Pogba, tell him he's replacing Yaya, that should do it. Also I am sure he'd be up for snubbing United.

The whole 40 million will be needed to get him. That would still leave us 37 million for a defender.
