if we want to get to the absolute peak this side can reach, we need to be ruthless and move him on and upgrade on him.

I think we'll be too nice in the transfer market again and it will hurt us, especially when the Dippers and the Rags have got one over us on psychologically in the past week and will have far more belief as a result next season, we need to bounce back and make serious upgrades to push us further ahead again.

Not surprised he's started virtually all the games we've lost this season. However, I think he should be given another season, unless we receive a offer in the region of 40m plus.

In today’s market, you would think there’s a good opportunity for us to finally make a big profit on a player. If his wages aren’t too high and teams aren’t deterred by his past injuries, I would expect some offers in excess of £30m.

Make a big profit?

We would be lucky to get our money back, injuries plus 100k+ a week wages and clubs will be asking why we want to get rid.

We have hope we can use him as a makeweight for Weigl for example.

He’s not going to magically stop pulling out of tackles so giving him another season will make no difference.

Sell him now while he still holds good value. He’s been fit all season which is a plus and scored some class goals so a lot of clubs will be interested. I see many are beginning to warm to the idea of selling him which is great to see.

He is one injury away from being finished as a player so it is risky to keep him. Already mentally weak and traumatized due to his injuries. Another one would absolutely destory him mentally. Feel bad for because he’s a nice guy but he sadly needs to go.

We should get £30m at least which is a fair price.

Not disagreeing, just think the longer he works with Pep, he might improve his overall game.

How much did we sign him for? £20m was it?

Obviously I have no idea if we are looking to sell but I would be surprised if we didn’t make a profit on him.

I still don’t know what his role is in our side. Is he supposed to be a box-to-box midfielder? A deep-lying playmaker? An attacking midfielder? Or something else?

I hate to use the word overrated but he flatters to deceive far too much for me. He’s someone who invariably looks good on a highlights package but his influence on the game over the course of 90 minutes isn’t good enough.

After Everton paid 45m for Sigurdsson, I would be disappointed if the club sold Gundogan for anything less than 30m
