He can go wherever he wants, and the noises he made about it being his last big pay day should be warning enough, but I always ask myself whether a player will improve over the duration of the next contract. In this case, I’m torn. It could be that he remains injury free and becomes a regular starter when all are fit, but it could be that he simply remains a dependable back up yet one who doesn’t push us to the next level. I’d wait to see where the trophies end up in May before fretting.

He’d be 30, won all he’s gonna win. In the latter years of an injury ravaged career and wanting a huge final pay day.

He’s exactly the sort of player we need our direct opposition to sign. He’s a very good player, but you’d expect us to replace him with someone younger & hungrier.

If we win the league this year, I think that will do untold damage to Liverpool. Especially if they get 90+ points.
 
We shpuld have taken that 50m from Barca last summer. Probably just rumours. He has been playing well of late. Not outstanding but putting in a good shift. I hope he stays and this is all part of the brinkmanship getting a good deal.
 
I think he will be off in the summer. I can’t see a Milner situation Debacle happening again. I think we will get decent money for him. Italian league will suit him as the pace is a bit slower
 
Done alright here Ilkay hasn’t he? Absolutely invisible for 2 seasons and now after a month of decent performances, he has some fans worried that he might be off. What an absolute disaster it would be, to have to replace someone who only turns up for 10% of games.
 
Personally, i'd like him to stay, he slots in well when needed.
A club can't have a squad full of superstars as you'd never keep them all happy.
The likes of Wes Brown, John O'Shea and even OGS were important players in Utd's reign of success, players who didn't always play but didn't rock the boat and did a job when needed.
Gundogan is that type of player for us.
