Agree totally. Great player but as you say if the opposition is of high quality and he isn't on his A game he can get caught or by-passed easily at times, Pep may see this as an area for improvement in terms if getting that elusive CL title

be interesting how his contract talks drag out because we may just have to say at some stage its too late and get Pep’s alternative in

TBF, that argument holds for any player

Irrespective of whether Gundogan stays or not, we should have a player specifically able to learn Fernandinho's job imo.

We know we can beat pretty much anybody with that blend of players, so it would be really stupid to discard it imo.

We can beat anyone with Gundogan too. Unless you've missed it, we haven't lost or tied with Gundogan at DM.

Result based analysis. You should try it :)

I watched the game back earlier and while Gundogan did some nice stuff with the ball, defensively he was shocking. The two best opportunities Leicester had to score were both as a result of Gundogan being a fanny - First occasion saw Maguire brush him away like he wasn't even there and on the second occasion Choudry did similar....his powers of recovery being none existent.

A rolls royce of a player when we are in the ascendancy - probing and bullying....but a liability when the chips are down.

Nah not having that. Fernandinho is the best defensive midfielder in England, but even he loses challenges. When Gundogan loses one he gets called all sorts. He’s been our best midfielder all season, he doesn’t deserve to be called a liability.

You would have called him much worse if Leicester had capitalised on their missed opportunities.

No, I wouldn’t have. You have a clear dislike with Gundo, which is fair enough, it’s your opinion. Calling him a liability though because he lost two challenges is laughable. He’s been our best midfielder this season, in terms of consistency. He was one of our best players against Leicester, but you focus on two challenges he lost, which could happen to any player.
