He's Pep's sort of thing, and it's always easier to plan to move on players and bring in replacements than it is to actually do it. And even if it goes exactly to plan, sometimes the player you get doesn't work out at all.

Seems almost a certainty to me he will be re-signing.

Just watching the number of times he fails to spot danger & the number of times he has been overtaken by others who saw it first & busted a gut to get back stop it, whilst he didn't, will do.

Nope. He's been our best CM since December. In that period everyone have had games that ranged from very good, to good, to ok and poor. But overall, he has put out more consistent performances than anyone else in the middle. That reality is what mostly find on this thread. But feel free to peddle hyperbole to suit your arguments.

He's played well recently. And had a few good games earlier in the season (as well as some poor ones).

Not so the other night though, he created very little & almost cost us the game, but still got loads of praise for it.

Which is why this thread is a joke.

gundogan can be hit and miss, the problem is the position he plays that when he is a ‘miss’ it can have a huge impact on the team and playing style

We have got away with several, but we might not always.

Agree totally. Great player but as you say if the opposition is of high quality and he isn't on his A game he can get caught or by-passed easily at times, Pep may see this as an area for improvement in terms if getting that elusive CL title

be interesting how his contract talks drag out because we may just have to say at some stage its too late and get Pep’s alternative in
