An assist on in each half and he couldn’t get either right. Too short in the first and then lashes the ball when he could have rolled Sterling in. Frustrating, as he’s in the right place but just not in the groove, yet.

Thought he did ok, no more rusty than the rest. A tidy player who will be utilized a lot this season with rotation.

I said this in the match thread but I don't think he's had one good game in that role replacing KDB.

He's has some fantastic games playing just off the striker or partnering KDB in Silva's absence. He's had some very good games in Fernandinho's position, but as a KDB replacement, trying to drive play forwards and release players with the key pass he just doesn't work.
