Will probably go to Germany or Turkey.
Absolutely not the same players whatsoever. Kovacic has had a season to bed in now and is a deputy to Rodri and nothing more. Doesn’t link up the attacks anywhere close to how Ilkay did.
Nothing wrong with Kovacic but against the Real Madrid’s you need to offer more than just keeping possession rocking over and we missed ilkay so much in champs league.
Or if/when Kev's injured.I'd bring him back just to throw him on the last 20 minutes of the last 6 games of the season.
New coach, new direction, career coming to an end, no time to waste. Türkiye looks like his best bet. Competitive, of Turkiyish decent, warm weather…
Only question now is “Does the Mrs fancy it?!”
Amazing how players get married and, all of a sudden, Manchester doesn’t seem to be the place to be anymore…even though the career is short, but marriage is supposed to be for life?! Can’t wait until he’s 35 to live like a King and Queen anywhere in the world, dear? You can still hop on a plane and go shopping in Paris, like a good little WAG!
And, while that might sound a tad misogynistic, it feels like it’s happened to quite a few City players!
You're right, it does sound a tad misogynistic. We always hear wives and girlfriends being made out to be some kind of Lady Macbeth figure whenever a player decides to move overseas even though it's usually a completely baseless assumption dreamed up by fans who can't come to terms with the idea that their favourite player might fancy living somewhere other than Manchester for a bit. Is it that inconceivable that a player might fancy a change of scene themselves? Do male footballers not enjoy shopping and eating at fancy restaurants as much as their wives? Perhaps these couples are (shock horror) making these decisions together?
Theres a romanticism surrounding barcelona the club and the place when the reality is that both are aging shit holes full of criminalsHis wife wanted Sun and Paella instead of Rain and Fish and Chips.
Obviously the grass isn’t always greener in a hot and dry Barcelona.

Cant beat chips, peas and gravy..Whats up with her!!I don’t think ilkay ever said all restaurants and food in Manchester are horrible, unless they both put out a joint statement?
In October 2022, a fan on Instagram asked the Italian: "Favourite restaurant in Manchester?" She replied: "Sorry I'm sad to be honest but nothing. I tried so bad to find a good restaurant but... horrible food everywhere.
(and then…..)
Sara Gundogan came under fire after branding all restaurants in Manchester as 'horrible' - but has now said she misses the city.
Regardless if you are a player or a wag, it’s better to be tactful about a city you are living in.
Saying there are no good restaurants and food in Manchester is just a plain and simple lie.
