For an Oldham fan, you don't half know a lot about Utd and back them often.

I was 11 when Oldham made it to The Prem, I'm originally from New Moston and with it being close to Oldham there were a few Oldham fans in my school, no lie they're all Utd fans now. It's clear to see every time somebody slags the rags off on here, SJK will soon pop up to defend them. Most Oldham fans are sympathetic towards the rags in my opinion.

Most Oldham fans are sympathetic towards United?

That is an absolute belter of a comment. They screwed us in the FA Cup Semi, stole players like Denis Irwin off us for a pittance which has seen us from that point onwards slip down the leagues becoming a selling club to stay afloat whilst they can splash millions season upon season and yet for some reason unbeknown to man, you can say we are sympathetic towards United.

I have to laugh at that 'opinion' simply because it is painstakingly ridiculous to even suggest.

Funnily enough a lad who used to post on our forum all the time suddenly jumped ship and started following City. Updated his twitter status here, there and everywhere to say how he was on the way to Munich etc (God knows how he got as ticket). He doesn't follow Oldham anymore. But I won't come out with ridiculous statements such as he's following City cause they a rich. Because that would be as stupid a comment as saying we are sympathetic towards United.

As I've mentioned previously, pop over to our forum and ask them who they'd rather win the league, City or United. Guarantee 90% will say City. The other 10% will probably say they are not arsed.

I'm just not going to 'side' with City on this bias/corruption/agenda topic just because I am on a City board.

come on though if you can't see they get decisions in their favour you shouldn't be watching footy.

i agree with the oldham thing though.

The only thing I can agree with mate is that referee's will err on the side of caution when it comes to making big decisions in big moments of a big game. Prime example being last night. I just don't think it happens as often as many on here are saying and I refer back to the Chelsea title winning offside goal quite often simply because that was about as big a call as you can get against United on their home patch.

Yes, luck has certainly been on their side a few times this season but I don't think it's to the point of bias/favouritism/corruption. A few decisions have gone against them too (although not as much as whats gone in favour).

Yet because I am not agreeing with the corruption club I'm being labelled a fucking United fan. Embarrassing.

What do you mean by the 'I agree with the Oldham thing though' comment? Which part?

it happens way too often for my liking and i'm still struggling to get my head around why that last night wasn't given, in fact i'm fucking fuming. soon as it happened i jumped up and thought "they have to fucking give that!"

when i they didn't i just laughed and thought "fuck this, what's the point of competing?"

we've lost a fair amount of points this year because of dodgy decisions and they've gained a few. it makes you want to bang your head against a brick wall.

and the bit about oldham fans hating utd, i've a couple mates who are oldham fans and they fucking hate utd. they don't really have any feelings in regards to city either way but they'd much prefer us to win it.

Well it seems that another title is going to be decided not by football but by officials either bottling it or getting it wrong...same old same old..

dont be too sure, we are THAT good i think we can still do it. quite an achievment considering the obvious cheating to stop us.

I think we can do it on a level playing field...that playing field is no longer level though Bill.

Sounds about right. Yet some numpty comes on here and labels us sympathetic for United.

Unreal.

Fact is that Premier League football is a game with a multi-million pound turnover and fortunes are both made and lost on decisions made by referees.
Are we expected to suppose that it's not in anyone's financial interest to provide 'favours' to referees to encourage them to be deliberately biased?
Are we expected to believe that football (the very home of money laundering) doesn't have clubs with slush funds in places like South America?
Are we supposed to be blind to the fact that manure have paid big bucks for unknown South American players who were always shite and will remain so forever.
Can we not wonder as to why manure would wish to pump millions of pounds into an unregulated financial system - ergo avoiding UK taxes and putting a pot of dosh in a pseudo-sellers name into a foreign bank account?
And are we supposed to be surprised that certain referees are prone to making decisions that make manure millions?

If you think that corruption is bad in horse racing or cricket (where the corruption has only, and very occasionally, been exposed by betting trends) then you'll be amazed at how rife it is in the game of the booted bladder which has a deep history of cash in hand bungs and bribes, a game where club managers have promoted their own sons as agents to syphon cash from their own clubs (haven't you fergiescum / big fat sam etc?).

You doubters make me larfff

Nothing new, they've always got decisions like that at Swamp central.
If it was the other way round they'd have got the penalty for sure.
If they win the league we've only ourselves to blame, not referees, not he FA,
not Sky. We fucked up at S'Land, West Brom, Goodison and Swansea.
Games we should have won
I've not given up yet but unless we get our finger out it's
looking a tall order

Only ourselves to blame!? Against Sunderland we had an offside goal given for Sunderland, West brom we had a good goal disallowed, at Goodison we had three penalties waved away and an assault on Micah Richards by Royston Drenthe not sent off and Swansea we had a 'marginal' at best goal disallowed (And I thought in marginal decisions the advantage should always go to the attacking team) and a penalty awarded against us in that game.

But yes of course we've only ourselves to blame....

Sorry for bringing this up but I know it's been mentioned a lot in people's lists of bad decisions against City but, am I the only one who thinks that goal at WBA was rightly ruled out? The ball is played to Aguero who is definitely offside and the only reason the WBA defender has cleared the ball to Balotelli (who is onside I accept) is because Aguero was interfering with play?
