Independent Regulator Petition

Gary Neville is not to be trusted in any way shape or form.
Nothing he does hasn’t got long term benefits for himself.
By the time most come to that realisation it’ll be too late.
Snide fucker that he is.

Bit misleading that mate, making it out to be something that’d get Gill voted out ... this is the petition Gary Neville has started and been calling out for ... and in fairness has some merits but it’s coming from his own self interest as a Salford owner that’s at the forefront and heart of it since he started the whole anti-ESL speeches. It was his owned club and his pocket that was going to get hurt had the top six left the pyramid that he’s trying to climb up ...

I just think should have given all details than just shared his petition in a City forum under a false heading ...

Well it's voting for the independent governance of football.

That would be a big step in diluting the influence of Gill, Parry and the other self-serving pigs eating at the trough.

The petition was started by someone called Alex Rolfe. I think it's a bit misleading to say Gary Neville has started it.

I think there can be a bit of a "red's under the bed" mentality if anyone associated with United back something.

Whatever Neville's individual motivations are, the independent governance of football is something that would be a huge positive for City imo, and a damn sight better than what we have currently.

Micah Richards is backing it, as are a bunch of other ex footballers and journalists. If it's good for City, who cares if it's also good for Neville?

Not sure Salford City are going to be knocking on the Champions League door any time soon. He might have their interest in mind but what is good for them is also good for any similar aspirational lower league club. Neville is on the right track here - there is a world of Football politics behind the scenes that we know very little about. Hw will know way more than us. Is he going to make it worse? My own view is that its hard to make it much worse and its hard to change it at all in reality. I'd back this on the basis that nothing will change unless change is forced and you have to back something - even if its an ex rag leading the charge.

This has all got a stench of continuity about it, I’m sure the likes of Gill & his Rag paymasters are well aware big change is upon us in football, and it would seem they are well positioned on both sides, so beware supporting anything with Ratty’s finger prints on, he’s just a self serving prick, and a rag one at that, all this talk of reform blah blah blah will disappear once he’s positioned himself as defender of the faith, you can cut the head off a snake, but like the Triads, another one will appear

Neville is banging on about the Esl which would of crippled sky & bt but the new ucl proposals aren't much different.

How many of these ex footballers work for either company that includes Micah or are freelance. I dont remember the same further over project big 6 from Neville or Sky because that was in the broadcasters interests, once it was revealed who the instigators were it was conveniently swept under the carpet.

Gary Neville played under the Glazers for 6 years and didn't say anything.

Some form of regulation sounds good but it will end up exactly like the other organisations we have now, people with different interests and different bias' involved.
